On Nov. 12 the U.S. Treasury stopped producing the penny for circulation mostly due to the cost. The penny will still be legal tender and will remain in circulation. With the discontinuation of the penny businesses will eventually have to figure out how they are going to deal with cash payments since the penny will most likely become a scarce resource in the foreseeable future.According ...
