Jesus fucking christ, You used to be able to Google and find a detailed guide to troubleshoot something tech related now you would only get an answer from the AI and the rest of the results are just reddit threads but all replies are like subjective or " i dunno lol".
>>
>>107682414 (OP)
try kagi and blacklist all this shit (paid tho)

>inb4 buy an ad
>>
>It's all YouTube videos by jeets who make n00b mistakes.
>Comments are THIS VIDEO VERY GOOD SAAR.
Soon to be replaced by AI which will replicate all jeet errors while adding some of its own.
>>
>>107682496
they also all feature a "fix" linked in the description that you need to download externally and run as admin for some reason
>>
>>107682414 (OP)
ChatGPT is my Google search now.
>>
>>107682414 (OP)
I find it worse when you search something and get quora links. That is just such a garbage website
>>
>>107683027
Agreed, I skip right over any Quora links because the site has proven itself to be absolutely useless

You know you can turn that off, right?

how?
>t. i have kagi
>>
I've never used ChatGPT. I only used the initial novelty versions when they were just viewed as fun novelty things back in 2019 and a short while playing with AI Dungeon in 2020.
Same goes for image gen AIs, only used one of the novelty ones in like 2020-2021 once and then the NovelAI leak to make some weird art in 2022 and then did like 1 test prompt on some meme online platform.

I feel like an advanced lifeform in comparison to everyone else.
>>
>>107682414 (OP)
>find a detailed guide
find where?
nowadays no one has websites
everyone uses social media
and social media is full of jeet spam, so if there is a good guide - it'll be buried by jeet slop
at least it was like that few years ago
todays it's not only jeet slop, but also AI slop made by same jeets
>>
It's all gone to shit around 2018/19.

If you want to find out about anything on the web in a few years it's probably just whatever the AI writes back at you and the occasional YT video, if you can find it.

People will lock themselves away on their discord servers and never leave again.

The web will become a realm full of cavemen without intercommunication beyond the cave you sealed yourself into.

Use desuarchive and search for the error here. 98% of the time it fixes my problem, 1% I do a Google search query with site:reddit and the last % is unironically asking LLMs for help

I'm not creating a new solution to the problem retard I'm just using the best available tools to find the actual solution faster. Not my fault you're butthurt that people aren't doing things in the most unintuitive and convulated way possible like you do to stroke your own ego instead of actually taking that time to do anything useful.

There will be such a backlash against big corpo internet and 'apps'.
We might return to those geocities-style personal websites.
With everyone looking to create their own corner on the internet.
Maybe invite-based?
So instead of everyone locking up in discord servers, more like trying to build their groups on their own sites.
Because what the internet delivered on was connection in a virtual space and AI, bots and corporate algos are destroying that feeling of connection, through their own greed and profit chasing.
The internet is starting to look bland, autogenerated, impersonal

This is "sort of" happening with the zoomers, but it's mostly a farce. Look at any webring, like https://webring.dinhe.net, and you will see loads of pages like:
>this is where I'll post my art!
>this is under construction!
>this looks better on desktop
but no actual information. and as other people have pointed out, zoomers freak out when they see xmpp as they have an emotional connection to discord and all the comforts of modern tech/web
tl:dr; it won't happen

When I think about it that's the logical conclusion I reach to, sort of a filtered area/walled off that to some extent I assume would be more higher-trust than normal?

Normies join these spaces down the line but don't start them

Let me tell you something that very few people think about.
Forums are basically dead and discussions are now taking place on fucking Discord, which can't be indexed and referenced by search engines, and is of course, impermanent.
There were forums for all kinds of niche interests and hobbies with incredible insight and useful information.
Reddit is a bastardisation of forum culture, but taken over by normies.
Forums were like the library of Alexandria, and we've burned it down again.

I remember once trying to generate images of like, an old Cadillac sedan abandoned and partially buried up in the artic north, but it wouldn't actually put the car in any of the landscapes it gave me.
Otherwise, yeah, I just... I don't interact with AI, at all.

"The Internet" for most people is 4-5 websites, it's grim.

>>107691607
I admit, I first came here in 2006 to escape regular forums and the faggot moderators that took themselves too seriously.
But there was a lot of useful information you could find, especially for electronics and cars - repairs, mods etc.
There were so many times I could find manufacturer documents to reference before buying something and DIY guides for repairing, modifying, flashing firmware etc.

>>107691608
Never been there but good for them, it's like a time machine.

I resorted to using shit like qwant, yandex or outright host my own searXNG instance. Google as a search engine is atrocious and youtube isn't any better.
