H.E. Minister of expressed sincere appreciation for the China’s consistent support. He affirmed that Somalia has always upheld the One-China principle and will continue to do so in the future. #ChinaSomalia65
H.E. FM of said Somalia is proud to be the 1st East African nation to establish diplomatic ties with China on Dec.14, 1960, just 5 months after independence, reflecting a shared commitment to development. #ChinaSomalia65
H.E. PM underlined that for 65 years, China has been a trusted partner to Somalia—one that respects its independence, supports its national priorities, and believes firmly in its future. #ChinaSomalia65
H.E. noted that the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee has charted the course China will follow: during the 15th Five-Year Plan, it will advance high-quality development & high-standard opening-up, creating more opportunities for Somalia & the world.
H.E. emphasized that China is advancing the 100% zero-tariff treatment for Somalia, facilitating people-to-people exchanges, and exploring cooperation in green energy and digital connectivity. #ChinaSomalia65

Today I received Amb. Wang Yu, Ambassador of the PRC to Somalia. We reaffirmed China’s support for Somalia’s sovereignty, peace, and development. I thanked China for its valuable economic assistance and its role as a trusted partner. We agreed to deepen our strategic ties.
