Confirm your Dailymotion account

If you've created your Dailymotion account through the email sign-up, you'll have to confirm your email address to finish your account creation.

Unconfirmed account policy

You have up to 30 days after the account creation to confirm your email address.

After this period, if your email hasn't been verified, your account will be permanently deleted for security reasons.

 

Confirm your email address and activate your Dailymotion account

Application
When the sign-up flow has been completed, you'll be asked to provide the activation code sent to your email address.
 
We invite you to check your emails and fill the Dailymotion interface with the 6 digit verification code received.
 
If you've left the page / close your browser, and you would like to confirm your email, we invite you to proceed as follows:
 
  1. Go to Dailymotion
  2. Login with your credentials
  3. The verification code interface will open, and you'll have to fill it with the code received by email.
You'll be able to start using the application right after your account creation, but some features (such as Comments, Uploads...) might not be available until your email has been confirmed.
 
To confirm your email from your application, you'll have to:

  1. Open your Dailymotion application
  2. A banner will be displayed on your homefeed, inviting you to verify your account. Tap on the Verify account button
  3. Request a new code by tapping on Resend code
  4. Fill the interface with the code received by email

Code expiration

For security reasons, the activation code will remain active for 3 hours.

If your code is expired, sign in again to generate a new one.

Check your Junk folder

Your email provider may have automatically tag the email in your Junk inbox.

We invite you to check your Junk folder and search for the keyword Dailymotion
Resend the code

From your Dailymotion interface, click on the button Resend code to trigger a new validation code.

Please note that only the last code generated will work for your verification.
Contact the Support

If you didn't receive the validation code on your main and your junk inbox, and if the resend code button didn't work, we invite you to contact our Support team with the email address linked to your account.

I made a mistake on the email when I've created my account, can I correct it?

If you mispelled the email address, you will have to restart the sign-up procedure.

The first account created with the mispelled email address will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
