Repercussions from the Persian Gulf crisis have become the latest in a long line of external problems to confront Anglo Cargo Airlines, one of the great survivors of the U.K. international air cargo charter industry.

The family-run airline, which operates freighters worldwide from a base at London's Gatwick Airport, is having to contend with hefty insurance surcharges for flights to the Middle East as well as the general escalation in fuel prices now affecting all carriers."It is difficult for us to quote prices for charter flights to or over the Middle East because insurance companies won't commit themselves to a price....
