A residential building collapsed in China’s Guizhou Province and killed four residents on Sunday, marking the second building collapse in that region in six days.
The 9-storey building, which was built in 1993, collapsed in Zunyi city at 6am. China’s state-run media People’s Daily reported that four people aged 23 to 65 were reported dead at the scene. Three residents were also taken to the hospital for further treatment.
People’s Daily also reported that the incident affected 22 residents from eight families.
This incident marks the second building collapse in China’s Guizhou Province in six days. On June 9, another building located in Zunyi city also collapsed. There were no casualties involved in that incident as residents spotted the cracking of the walls earlier in advance.
