It's super easy, literally just a few touches on a panel. It takes me personally all but 5 minutes I get a room in Shinjuku even if my first and second choice of hotels would be full.
Your changes will be better if you go during non busy times of course.

Most hotels in Shinjuku (best location for Robo deli) will have reception. And there is always some option in that area.
You still have to pick a room and time first on the screen usually. Just use screening Google translate if you can't understand the screen.
In a lot of hotels, you only pay the difference between two or three hours if you do go over time after two hours, but you never get money back if you finish early. So just book for two hours and pay any money for going overtime later!

If getting a room from LH sooooo hard for you.. Maybe DH type of
Fun or P4P in Japan is not for you. You can always go to Disneyland or Universal Studios Osaka. Those activities are so easy, even caveman can partake in it.

Those activities are way harder to book.
USJ you have to book passes for all the different parks you want to go to and ride the fast pass rides in a certain time frame.
Disney also has to be pre booked online and you need to look at the Disney map in an app for your plans, and when it's busy there are a lot of attractions that are a 4 hour wait without a fast pass, lol.

But yeah, if one can't book a love hotel and order delivery health correctly, they probably should not.

Yeah, Mr. Pro, relax. You also started at some point and had questions. I just want a smooth experience for everyone involved, haha. Once I have done it once or twice, I'll probably write here too about how easy it is.

I'm just the type of person who likes to gather as much information as possible in order to be well prepared. I don't see what's wrong with that. For this second trip to Japan, my Aka-chan Japanese will have to be suffice. Next year will be easier.

Re busy times - what times are usually considered as busy? Specially thinking of public holidays outside the weekends.

Nights, Weekends... holidays are hit and miss depending on what kind of holiday it is. (a single day vs a string of days like golden week or the new years, for example.)

Define decent? I really don't recommend using a normal hotel unless it's a 4/5 star hotel.
APA and smaller-type business hotels are not cut out for this. Some places won't send girls to normal hotels for safety and convenience issues.

My stay was at a 4/5 star hotel. And I get it; it becomes your home base during your stay. Even at some subconscious level it might even feel like your point of safety. But, from her perspective she too needs to feel a sense of safety. And a LH presents that neutral ground for her. I'd say, unless she initiates that convo, I'd stick to conventional the protocol.

When I'm traveling (much more common to have escorts to your room in other countries) I just throw the valuable stuff in a locking suitcase. Suitcase goes either in closet (closed) or under bed if it'll fit. She's never going to be alone in the room long enough to get through a suitcase lock unnoticed.

(FWIW, your main suitcase should be a proper hardshell, and not a zip-up - most zips can be defeated in seconds with a ballpoint pen)

Thanks for the reply. Think love-hotel is the answer then,

Any tips if I don't have local phone number, can I come to the store, ask for my preference of provider, and walk with the girl to the love hotel together? Maybe around Kabukicho / Ikebukuro? Is it common?

No.
There are some places like hotel health where you can select a girl in an office, but you'd still have to get the hotel yourself and contact them again to tell them where to send the girl. A lot of the places that have English support nowadays will probably let you book by some messaging app.

Closest to what you described is probably Lovely Hand, where one of the male staff might guide you to their rental rooms if you book with them in their office.
