Hello guys,

I moved to Tokyo not too long ago and I was wondering if anybody knows any Japanese delivery health stores that welcome foreigners with close to zero Japanese ability in Tokyo? Thank you.

Delivery health is tricky because you have to communicate on the phone. That doesn't work with close to zero knowledge of the language. There are a few shops that seem to cater to English speaking foreigners, but they overcharge a lot.

If you can speak a little bit of Japanese my tip would be to try hotel health shops. There are a lot in Ikebukuro but also in other parts of town and booking in person is always easier.

There are actually a handful of places that are at least open to foreigners with little to no Japanese ability - the key is to find ones that have Line accounts and communicate with them via Google Translate. It's a bit tedious finding them, but they're out there. The reviews on this site are helpful, but I find most of the posters seem to have some Japanese ability so they don't know if zero Japanese would be a problem.

You are probably right about that. I think there are quite a few reviews of people's walk in experiences at soaplands with English only, but there is barley anything about delivery. I think the number of health shops that is OK with LINE only booking with google translate is pretty slim though. Chance of misunderstanding is high and usually you need a Japanese phone number so shop could somehow identify you if something goes very wrong.

Then there is the other problem that there are some Delivery and Hotel Health shops that offer services to zero Japanese speakers but they up their prices for that......not sure if something like that is really recommendable.

Thanks for sharing. I have been researching and reading through this forum which has been a helpful source of information. However, I am not able to find much information on Hotel Health... Could you point me in the right direction for deliheru or Hotel health shops which allow foreigners with extremely limited Japanese ability in Ikebukuro? I am alright with gaijin mark-ups which are probably unavoidable noting my inability to converse fluently in Japanese.

I can only do this with a huge disclaimer, because I have never used the shops in English and I have no idea if this works well. Have only used them in Japanese and they are usually easy to deal with. Since they all have English subsites nowadays it suggests you can use them without speaking Japanese, but for sure with limitations. The English pages are more or less mirrors of the Japanese pages that show the whole cast. This is misleading. Only some girls are OK with foreigners, percentage of girls that will be available without any Japanese at all is even smaller.

...markup on price varies and is not so easy to compare, but looks like 6-7k or even more in comparison to regular customers.

Just list your language, area you live, and click on "call girl service" for delivery health options. Not many stores get listed, but supposedly they'll cater to your language limitations.

Thank you, This list is helpful for me. I am aware of Finemotion or rather Shadymotion and noted that there were not much reviews in TAG due to the "mark up" and mixed service. Perhaps I might take one for the team in my coming trip.
