I feel like the answer is obvious but I wanted to just sanity check before I did anything. I shipped a package internationally using Etsy shipping, which I will never do again. It was delivered to a "pickup point" and not the buyers house, and they were not able to pick it up because they were never emailed a pin to pick it up from the locker. The package is now being returned to me and I was going to refund them anyways, but they opened a case against me that was instantly closed in my favor. I'm glad I didn't lose a case but I still intend to refund them as they just did not receive the package. Would this cause any issues now that etsy has ruled in my favor?

The "layer" brush has an option called set persistent base, this video should give detail https://youtu.be/pZke4PlSWvc. I'm not sure what other brushes or modifiers can give this effect

games like Star Citizen are procedurally generated, each person gets the same number used to generate all of the small unimportant details on the worlds so instead of storing every single location, rotation, scale, object, material, etc, for each object in a world, most of the world is placed by your CPU using the number saved and the singular asset in the files at random in the world, and player made stuff is saved on the server which stores it for you so you only load it when you visit it. Games like COD will hand place every single asset and even change stuff per-object to make each asset more unique so every single asset and material variation will have an entirely new look, which is important for AAA games because they expect everyone to inspect everything up close. Sucks for the consumer who doesn't care about that though.
Currently developing a game for PC and Quest, How do I set up a device profile for the Quest to have things like material quality set lower since they default to high, without having to manually do it in blueprints?
Custom lightmaps AND UE Generated ones both do it, it also happens on default unreal shapes. These are my lightmass settings but I was also able to replicate the glitch in a brand new project on default lightmass settings. https://i.imgur.com/Or4FtLw.png
EDIT: here it is in the new project, it only happens underneath objects here but I imagine if I added more objects everywhere it'd start appearing more places https://i.imgur.com/rpCUZcp.png
Hello, recently I've been getting these awful lighting artifacts even on production builds with 1 scale, I've double checked the lightmap resolution and it should be fine, the artifacts appear pretty much everywhere randomly in the level. They started appearing after I updated the project to 4.24
No discord server for it right now but I'll update it on my twitter! https://twitter.com/SubwooferX3
Ok nevermind, I took a nap and now I figured it out lol. Still need to fix the tonemapping but it looks way better https://gfycat.com/abandonedpettyantarcticgiantpetrel
There will actually be 3 worlds, and trying to transition objects directly proved far more complicated coding wise + performance intensive. This is currently more of a proof of concept, if I was making it into a full game I'd put far more work into making the teleportation seamless. And it's far less jarring when you're actually playing it in VR
