Welcome my honorable select, my chosen elite, to the first installment of Ethical Hating (now on Substack.) Ethical Hating first began as a space to pick apart the various topics of debate bumping against my pontoon in the murky waters of TikTok’s FYP. The conclusion I usually end up reaching is that these topics are not worth discussing at the elementary level TikTok users seem to prefer. Usually, by the time they’ve gone viral, the proverbial bus to the debate club semifinals has already been run off the freeway. Now in this beautiful new space we have room to breath. we aren’t chained to the whims of ByteDance’s algorithm. We are free. I am free. I AM FREE! And yet… the scent of burnt rubber, the din of congested traffic and senseless bickering, the foggy haze of burning coolant calls me back to the latest discussion on my feed.
IS BEING A CONTENT CREATOR DEHUMANIZING?
Don’t worry, I can feel your eyes rolling. I am fully aware that many view content creators and “influencers” as the most soulless and deviant schmucks our wretched society can conceive, and that you hate them and have no sympathy for them (except for that one girl with the Get Ready With Me Videos that you watch religiously.) I understand that I may have already lost you and your subscription fee. So, let’s make this interesting and discuss it through the lens of postmodern occultism – more specifically, Chaos Magic.
