About the Journal
MetaScientia: Journal of the History and Philosophy of Science (official abbreviation – MetaScientia HPS; Turkish parallel title: MetaScientia: Bilim Tarihi ve Felsefesi Dergisi) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal launched in 2025. As a journal of the history and philosophy of science, it is primarily dedicated to these fields, while also publishing high-quality research in the sociology of science and other areas of philosophy. The journal follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic rigor and impartiality. The official publication languages are English and Turkish, and it is issued biannually in June and December. MetaScientia HPS accepts original research articles, review articles, book reviews, short notes and discussion papers, as well as scholarly translations. All submissions are evaluated in accordance with scientific research and publication ethics, and the journal adheres to the principles of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). All content published in MetaScientia: Journal of the History and Philosophy of Science is openly accessible and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
