Region Coding in BluRays is doen via what are referred to as PSR (Player Status Registers). PSR20 is the region code of the player.
The bluray "code" reads PSR20 and can do operations on it to determine if its a valid region or not.
For instance, one might do "IF PSR20 == 1 jump to good title". while another might do "IF PSR20 == 1 jump to bad title"
the safest way to remove region coding is to replace all uses of PSR20 with the region code you specify for the disc. Therefore, the above cases would be changed from
"IF 1 == 1 jump to google title" and "IF 1 == 1 jump to bad title".
DVDs region protection is fundamentally different. spo* 2025-12-18
First I must justify this one.
Till now.2.8.8.5 tool can be fooled an can give false info
Example:
I put a blue ray for region B & ask for tool to remove Region A cos I introduced it as a Region A Disc
The tool says it has removed Region A
Don´t know if the same goes for DVDs
Well this should not happen
That’s why I’m asking for a full region code removal feature
I Know you are moving (about this subject ) in one direction but I’m asking you to reconsider that particular direction because it’s a hard difficult one to achive . And try my suggestion which it’s much more simple to achive (I think)
User would have to chose rather or not to make it free cheking only one single box
If yes (box cheeked) tool would simple erase all Region info present regardless the original region and replace it with
a) A new one (all regions\ A+B+C etç)
b) None at all
This way it should be simpler and faster to implement
All the best and Merry Christmas joa* 2025-12-18
Well i have 2 “issues” \ begings\ I will put them in 2 separate mgs
1-
Topic DVD & Removing Region Code
This is something cosmetic like but nevertheless….
Could you add info as it happens with blue rays & UHD
Example: before saving it as ISO (or other) now the info for DVDs is :
“RC removed”
But
The same for Blue ray is : Region (A\ B …) removed
So what I’m asking for DVD is something like : Region (1\2…) Removed
It Is a cosmetic feature I know, but some of us users probably ask ourselves what RC means. joa* 2025-12-18

WE WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT FOR CRACKED VERSIONS, AS IT VIOLATES OUR LICENSE.
But the audio content is now unprotected and Xreveal is now the only software that can do it. Thank you very much! I really appreciate your effort to solve this issue! :) 2025-12-16
Be aware that the CSS is not removed for this disc, we had purchased this disc, we'll fix this issue when the disc is available.
BTW: Xreveal is an on-the-fly tool, once the disc is successfully opened, you can directly use the disc files, the Xreveal driver will decrypt files in real-time. No need to rip, save time, save hard disk space.
thanks.
Made some workaround, could you test whether v2.8.8.3 can decrypt the /AUDIO_TS/ files?

CD cover is the same, so the DVD-A has the DVD logo in front of it. It's kind of rare and expensive. 2025-12-16
The 'DVDAUDIO.MKB' file is part of the encryption scheme and the PCM audio stored in the AOB files cannot be extracted without CPPM decryption support (as you can see it's restricted in DVD-Audio Explorer software). 2025-12-16
Do you have a purchase link for this disc?
