Issues fixedLink

Extreme mouse latencyLink

Change mouse driver settings[4]

  2. Uncheck "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration"

Issues unresolvedLink

Crash related to wireless peripheralsLink

The game crashes on startup if the user has wireless peripherals (headsets, mice...), either with a black screen or with an error message reporting an access violation. Before the game is run, the USB dongle needs to be unplugged, and only plugged back in when the game's intro/menu is shown.[5] [6]

Crash related to MSI Mystic LightLink

The game crashes on startup either with a black screen or with an error message reporting an access violation if MSI Mystic Light is installed.[7] If it is removed on Control Panel => Devices and Prints => Right Click on "MYSTIC LIGHT" => Remove device, game launches the majority of the time but crashes do happen occasionally. Mystic Light re-installs itself on each restart so it has to be removed each time for the game to work.

A helper bat script like below can be used to repeatedly launch the game until it launches without a crash, which can happen for a variety of reasons. The script must be run as an administrator (like gcii.exe requires always) and can be used for any version, either Disc or GOG version, changing the installed directory on top of it accordingly.
