NEW BILLING MODEL Patreon has rolled out a new billing model which works as your standard subscription model. Which means, if you subscribe on 20th of a month, you'll be charged on the next 20th. This page follows the new model. Moreover, Patrons are charged upfront on this page. —— SOMETHING ABOUT ME I'm FictionOnlyReader, the author in the web fiction format, who aspires to get better than the me of yesterday. My works are as follows: HP: A Magical Journey, Rebirth in KurokoNoBasket, Naruto: The Outsider's Perspective I have been a pure-reader for most of my life, and only started writing during the pandemic lockdown as a way to pass time and be productive. Who knew I would end up falling in love with it, more than anything in the world. I still remember spending a day writing my first chapter( without any prior planning) and posting it on the same day, without caring about the grammar, proper POV, or writing style. Gosh, I can't believe I posted my first chapter in the "script format"— and that's still online for all to see. —— WHAT IS PATREON Patreon is a platform/service that allows creators like me to create subscriptions that Patrons like you can subscribe to, and provide support to your favorite creators, enabling them to continue to create the content that you like. It's one of the best, if not the best, way to directly support your favorite creators and allow them to dig in the creative mines to unearth creative gold. —— WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN Every time you subscribe, I feel the pressure to write. Mind you, it's not bad pressure— I like the pressure, it keeps me on my toes as I'm an inherently lazy person who needs some motivation. Also, I crave the feeling of being productive, so having subscribers is the best motivation possible. Different creators provide different services. My offering is usually releasing chapters in advance on the books that are currently active( in serialization.) Please note that any fanfiction I write will eventually make its way to public platforms, and I will only apply a hard paywall towards my original content. If you're a reader and looking for ways to show your support, Patreon is the best way to do so and get something in return. I will also try to provide extra exclusive content whenever possible. —— F.A.Q Q: Do I need to pledge to continue reading one of my works? A: It depends. As I said, fanfictions will eventually make their way to public platforms, if you're no longer able to support, you can continue following the story on the public platforms. As for originals, I haven't dabbled into them, but I believe if I do, I will be creating some sort of paywall around them— maybe, who knows, nothing to worry about something that hasn't happened yet. Q: Can I change my pledge amount? A: Yes, you can. Just go to the top right of the page and once you hover near your profile picture, you will see a list of options. Just click on “Your Pledges” and you should be able to see all your active pledges and make changes/edits to it. Q: How does Patreon charge the patrons(i.e. you)? A: Patreon accepts two forms of payment: PayPal and credit card. You can add your PayPal account to Patreon, or if you don’t have one, then simply add your credit card. Please make sure that your given payment account has the funds, not expired, etc., otherwise, the pledge will be automatically declined by Patreon. Q: When will the patrons(i.e. you) be charged? A: Please keep in mind that you will be charged on the point of subscribing to receive all of your rewards and then follow standard subscription model. For example, if you subscribe on the 20th of the month, you would be charged as you sign up, and then charged again on the 20th of the next month. Warning! This might not be the case for subscribing to other creators on Patreon, who might still be following the legacy billing system. I am forever grateful for your support and wish that no harm ever fall upon all of you. I am available on my DISCORD server, if you guys want to chat with me or the massive community of great people who share similar interests to you NOTE: This 'About the Patreon page' section has been inspired(and copied) from a creator know as TurtleMe. I was inspired by his branding initiatives, and thought this would be of great help to people new to Patreon and those who want to know what exactly they're getting from the subscriptions.
