前面の作品は、この建物の風呂場で偶然できた作品です。観光ホテル時代の古いタイルの上に、写真が腐食してできた模様です。
【建物の歴史】
1958年に「保津川観光会館」として保津川水辺に建設され、当初は保津川下りの乗船場兼観光ホテルとして使われ、1973年「亀岡商工会館」という亀岡商工会議所の建物となり、1999年に他所に移転し、今日まで老朽化しつつ存在（2022年7月現在）しています。今後、建物は解体される予定となっております。
