Santrum Hong Kong Co, a subsidiary of Shenzhen-based
Picea Robotics Co (杉川; formerly known as Shenzhen 3irobotix Co Ltd), has acquired a credit agreement with
iRobot from affiliates of The Carlyle Group worth US$190.6M in principal and interest.
As of Nov 24, 2025, iRobot owed Picea $161.5 million for the manufacturing of products, $90.9 million of which was past due.
In short, Picea is now iRobot’s contract manufacturer as well as its primary creditor. iRobot owes Picea more than $350M.
Picea is an ODM — designing and manufacturing robot vacuums for major brands such as iRobot (Roomba), Dyson, LG, Xiaomi and Philips — with its own 3i brand of vacuum cleaners.
