man Liu Ke (刘柯) was arrested at a company in Isumi, 
Chiba Prefecture, for stabbing Michiyo Tateishi, a female colleague, multiple times in the face, neck and other parts of her body with a knife and attempting to kill her. Tateishi was confirmed dead after being taken to the hospital.
According to police, Liu is believed to have been in a meeting with Tateishi at the time of the incident, and during questioning he admitted to the charges, saying, "There's no doubt that I stabbed her with a knife I brought from home."
Liu was initially arrested for attempted murder but the police had subsequently changed the charge to murder.
