When we went to our first ultrasound we were shocked that there were 4 babies in there, going in I honestly thought it was twins, I just felt different and knew something was different, never in a million years did I think there were 4. We were told they didn’t anticipate baby C to make it which was Emma, the next week same thing and then at week 9 she had caught up and was doing great, which then they had to talk to us about selective reduction. I completely understand from the medical perspective but for us that was never an option we were considering.
We knew there was high risks involved because quadruplet pregnancies don’t usually make it to term, we knew the babies had high risks of medical complications but that was a risk we were willing to take and I’m so glad we did and we were so fortunate that they have been thriving.

Please DO listen to this advice and make an EDUCATED CHOICE on what’s right for YOU because it’s NOT the same for everyone both from a physical and mental health perspective

Sextuplet here! My mom was also immediately spoken to about selective reduction, after struggling with fertility issues - it was never an option for her as well, and by the grace of God all six of us are alive and well 🙏. God bless you!

There is a reason that this is medical advice. I am happy it worked out for you, but many women have lost all their kids or even their own life going against medical advice. Just because it worked out doesnt mean that the advice was wrong.
