White House doubles down on TikTok with ‘Cabinet’ account
The White House is doubling down on their use of TikTok with an account for the Trump administration Cabinet.
“NEW ON TIKTOK: The great U.S. Cabinet!” the White House posted Thursday on the social platform X.
Breitbart first reported about the account.
The first post on the Cabinet account is a video featuring clips of Trump administration figures such as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Vice President Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and President Trump himself, with pulsating music in the background. It was posted midday Thursday.
According to the account’s biography section, it is “Managed by [the] White House.”
In August, the Trump administration started up its first TikTok account with a White House account.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in October said that an agreement on TikTok, which has faced controversy due to its Chinese connections, had been finalized by the U.S. Under the agreement, China would let the social media platform stay accessible in the U.S.

“In Kuala Lumpur, we finalized the TikTok agreement in terms of getting Chinese approval,” Bessent said on Fox Business Network. “And I would expect that would go forward in the coming weeks and months, and we’ll finally see a resolution to that.”
