Resolutions
On March 13, 2025, participating Voting Members unanimously asked Sonja Lang to proceed with our registration under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.
On March 14, 2025, the Association agreed on the terms Common Sitelen Pona (sitelen pona kulupu) and Creative Sitelen Pona (sitelen pona musi).
On March 17, 2025, the Association agreed to
set a threshold of 9/13 (69.231%) for Supermajority Resolutions.
On March 18, 2025, we agreed to change it to 70%.
On March 17, 2025, a Supermajority agreed to a unifying path to move forward without any changes. This plan was first proposed by Sonja Lang on October 13, 2024. An algorithm determines which words, representative glyphs, semantic variants, and other features will be encoded and how. It relies on data provided by three researchers–teachers–publishers, by four influential typographers, by many who participated in a font-making tool, by a Member who reviewed a collection of handwritten texts, and by all participating Voting Members of the Association.
On March 17, 2025, a Supermajority agreed that the the Association’s name in English is Sitelen Pona Publishers and Typographers Association. We agreed that the Association’s name in Toki Pona is kulupu pali pi sitelen pona.
On March 25, 2025, the French-speaking committee agreed that the Association’s name in French is Association de l’édition et de la typographie du sitelen pona.
On March 28, 2025, we agreed on a direction for the Association’s visual identity or logo.
