Huh, would you look at that... a blog for: Random Art/Music/Videos/Thoughts/Rants, and whatever fandom I happen to be into at the time. Expect a lot of D&D and Legend of Drizzt blogging. Furry and TTRPGer. He/Him/INTJ/Trans Ace. Extremely gay and happily married to fellow Tumblrina Brandytusk. Icon and Banner created by myself cause I'm cool like that
I've been playing Dwarf Fortress all week and last night something happened that led to me having such an intense attack of inspiration that the imagery in my head refused to be ignored.
I found myself frantically doodling the scene in a like 20 minute fit that made my hands shake and gave me a headache afterwards.
Sometimes my muse has no chill at all fffff
ANYWAY
For context I play using a mod that lets me play as Drow instead of Dwarves but in my most recent world I've been so peaceful that I haven't really had any need of a military. The only issue has been....Forgotten Beasts.
There has been many of them.
Rather than trying to kill them with my people I imprisoned two of them in pens by luring them into stone rooms with livestock and sealing them in with floodgates. Anytime a big threat comes I release it and let it take out whatever it is. I have one near the surface entrance, and one near the entrance to the deeper tunnels.
Well....I decided to open up the deeper tunnels gates to mine diamonds...unfortunately there was a white phantom in the wall behind those diamonds that was released.
It slaughtered most of the miners and several children. After I thought all the survivors had escaped back through the gates I sealed them...and released the Forgotten Beast.
What I didn't know was there was still a single miner still down there. Poor guy was just trying to take a drink...and was not expecting to suddenly get caught in the middle of a kaiju fight lol
The Forgotten Beast won the fight and after a brief stare down with my miner...turned around and returned to it's pen to eat some Llamas.
Miner made it home safe...probably with quit the story to share lol
