Another strong indicator that a military operation may be approaching is the deployment of a squadron of EA-18G Growler electronic-warfare aircraft in Puerto Rico. Their mission would be to neutralize Venezuela’s air-defense systems and radar network, after which combat aviation and naval vessels equipped with long-range cruise missiles would take over the operation.
