Quarterback Conner Weigman said he plans to return to the University of Houston for his final season of eligibility in 2026.
UH quarterback Conner Weigman plans to return for a second and final season with the Cougars in 2026.
“For sure, that’s the plan,” Weigman said Tuesday as the No. 21 Cougars began bowl preparations for the Dec. 27 Kinder’s Texas Bowl against LSU at NRG Stadium. “This is the city of Houston; this is my home. I love the coaches.”
While there hadn’t been any serious talk of a possible departure, Weigman’s return offers a veteran presence and mentor for Keisean Henderson, the No. 1 prospect in the nation who will enroll in January.
