The 2025 G7 Summit was hosted in Kananaskis. The region is nestled in the Canadian Rockies, an iconic symbol of Western Canada. It’s known worldwide for its stunning natural beauty, towering mountains and vast forests.

G7 2025 Kananaskis logo

The 2025 G7 logo depicts the region’s scenic landscapes, adding a contemporary feel with its white space and clean lines. A lodgepole pine tree, composed of 7 colourful branches, represents the members of the G7. The pine tree stands before Mount Kidd, a prominent landmark in the Kananaskis region.

The lodgepole pine is the official tree of the province of Alberta and one of the most common tree species in the Kananaskis Valley. First Nations peoples used it to build lodges and teepees, which gave way to the name “lodgepole.” The bark was used as a food and fuel source and the pine needles were brewed into tea as a traditional remedy high in Vitamin C.

The lodgepole pine is known as a pioneer species and is one of the first to regenerate after a disaster such as a forest fire. It represents renewal and resiliency, making it a fitting symbol for Canada’s G7 Presidency.

Using the logo

The 2025 G7 logo is the official mark for the 2025 G7 Summit in Kananaskis. It is protected by the Trademarks Act and the Copyright Act.
