From its founder Romulus in 753 BC all the way to his last emperor Constantine XI Palaeologus in 1453, the Roman state lasted over 2000 years, maybe the longest in human history. It has given us the roots of all of the nations in Europe either directly or indirectly and its descendants have expanded across the continents. There would have been no Western civilization without a nation ruling over what would become a shared European identity. Most of all, it transformed from the fiercest enemy of the Gospel into the reason why the most remote regions now know of Jesus Christ, and that was all thanks to the roads stretching from Spain to Iraq. So many peoples in the world that were not from China or India at some point tried to steal the title of "Roman". Being a roman emperor had become THE title, THE authority itself as a concept. The greatest leap forward in humanity, the glitch in the matrix: and this all came from a small village in Latium. Lore accurate Trent Horn (I think there are some inaccuracies in his video, especially the ridicolous wikipedia article claiming that in the roman empire all families had just one female daughter, which would imply that there was one woman every 5 something men and that would have made population growth impossible, but other than that his video is A GEMERALD)

The fight ended with a stalemate and the almost dead Gassy Gemerald crawling back to the portal, a giant grey patch of brimstone dust that was once sand was now visible from outer space
