P.S.: This post is written in English because the Japanese translator often makes many mistakes, and I want to make sure what I mean is understood as clearly as possible. Regarding YouTube memberships and the alleged harassment and fraud. I'm going to respond because many people are saying, both here and in my YouTube videos, that my intention is to scam their favorite YouTubers with memberships. Guys, do your research before commenting! Memberships are non-refundable. Memberships can only be refunded by YouTube itself when it can't find anyone to give those gift memberships to, and it's automatic without any intervention. Once the stream ends, YouTube searches for another 12 hours to give the gift memberships to, and if it still can't find anyone, it grants the refund. The requirements to receive a gift membership are to be subscribed to the streamer's channel and have the option to receive gift memberships enabled. I have no way of knowing when I should stop accepting donations because this information is hidden! Streamers don't suffer any kind of discount on their income; that's simply a lie. Because the memberships that were given out in November aren't collected until December, and it's essentially as if that money never existed, so to speak. I deeply regret that, due to a lack of information about how the memberships work for some people and content creators (I want to believe it's not with malicious intent), a smear campaign has started against me, accusing me of every possible wrongdoing. I'm open to hearing any questions you may have.

I've apologised once on Twitter, but I wanna say it again... I'm sorry for being an idiot VTuber fan who retweeted some of the posts on chargeback scams, since I knew nothing about how YouTube's payment systems work. It's also just really sad that your genuine generosity was treated with such suspicion. I understand the confusion of the VTubers who got the gifts, but at the same time, since the worst that can happen to them is to simply get zero profit from gifts if someone cancels them (which I understand from this post that you won't), it was really just pointless panic. I won't beg you to give VTubers another chance because I understand your feelings. I know what it's like to be falsely accused, even betrayed. I just hope you won't stop being generous, and that you'll find other forms of content that you enjoy and can share on your shows. I think you're really cool, and I'm sorry this happened. Have a great end of the year!

Came by this after reading some posts, but exactly like you said, it won't affect the streamer/creator who received the membership gifts! I'm not sure where or to who you have sent to, but if it is on YouTube, in the end, it still helps the creator/streamer in a positive way. YouTube platform is different then Twitch or others; they have their own policy and regulations... If I were them, it'll be a dream come true to have such a crazy support lol
Nice to meet you. I apologize if there are any mistakes in the translation. There seem to be many victims regarding this incident on platforms like X (formerly Twitter). I have seen posts about people getting into debt because of it, so what are your thoughts on that? Also, since you are sending this to small-scale creators, it might be interpreted as targeting low-income streamers to engage in harmful acts and harassment. I think there will be some individuals who might consider filing disclosure requests. Personally, I believe it would be better to make detailed posts about how you plan to respond, as well as provide as much evidence as possible, to prove your innocence and that you have no ill intent. You may have no choice but to take such actions to assert that you are 100% not at fault.

Proverbs 6:15
In fact, a friend of the streamer I watch has lost thousands to tens of thousands of yen due to your cancellation. This logic is a system in which 30% of membership gifts are taken by Google. 70% of the time comes to you, but your cancellation will require the streamer to pay 30%, which will lead to losses. What do you think about this?

Hey Sebamise, I just want to say how difficult this must of been to express especially with what I can only imagine is a bunch of chaos happening around you. And I just want to say that I give you all the digital hugs I can right now! I cannot even fathom how it must feel to support creators to then have several people accuse you of scamming. I do believe people have the right to be skeptical, but to outright harass someone for openly supporting someone financially is absurd and I hope you know I genuinely value every donation you have given me as it has truly been life changing for me as a newer VTuber. When I offered you an exclusive role on my Discord, you declined because you wanted everyone to feel equal, you are a valued member of my community and I'm so sad to hear this happened. I want to just give you the biggest hug and hope you're okay. I want you to know I apologise if I contributed to any of this anxiety, it was very clear to me when I voiced my concerns you instantly eased them and that just says what a humble person you are as you gave me a clear answer and made me feel okay to vocalise my anxieties. I wish more people treated you with that kindness instead of rudeness. We're all humans who are learning but that does not give anyone the right to be malicious and mean to others over information they cannot even prove. BIGGEST HUG IN THE WORLD FOR YOU! Thank you yet again for all of your support, you have literally changed the beginner of my VTubing career. I hope you know me and my fans are so grateful for your kindness and generosity. BIGGEST HUG FROM DEE !! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
You'd better not cross Mr. Sebamise. The reason is because he's scary.

So, see this month's credit claim and that credit claim will become true proof of you

Then you can superchat the amount that those streamers are suffering due to this then people will believe it’s not your intention to make them suffer.

So basically YouTube's system is ass and send these streamers a vague warning that some of those memberships are cancelled and not mentioning the streamer is not going to be charged for it. Unless you used forced chargebacks but that would eventually flag your account and card. So my question is why not post proof obviously blacking out name adress and phone number? Maybe you should have asked the stream if it was okay to give out those memberships. There have been trolls in the past doing chargebacks to put streamers in debt so i don't blame their fear. Edit: want to add saying those vtubers are slandering you isn't really helping nor saying they should investigate, it falls on you and youtube moreso to put down any fears they had by posting proof my dude.

I had a situation where a south american donated a lot of memberships to me and I only got 10%. All the other memberships were lost because not accepted/channels not open to receive gifts. I checked and I haven't lost anything, the membership lost were reimbursed and I got very few earning from the 10% because south american change is very low. I panicked a bit and thought it was a scam, but I managed to put the pieces together when I saw the earnings and got to understand Youtube rules better. Honestly, I think it's similar to this problem. I'm positive the creator is not really paying back anything, and if they see less revenue it's just that the 200 memberships were bought with a lot of discounts, so they shouldn't calculate the revenue like if they earned 200 memberships on twitch.

That's good and all, but maybe don't drop 250 gift subs on a channel with 100 active viewers in the future...

I understand that you may not have intended to cause trouble, but your actions are seriously affecting others. Even if your intentions are good, doing things that can easily be misunderstood will only create unnecessary conflict and distrust. Please take a step back and think carefully before acting next time. It’s important to make sure your behavior doesn’t cause discomfort or harm to others, even unintentionally.
18
what currency did you use to purchase the membership gifts? is it USD or other currency?
3
Just out of curiosity: were those VTubers your oshi (favorite creators you genuinely support)?
1
Maybe it's just a temporary YouTube bug. I believe you. If your intention to support the Vtuber is genuine, then you have my respect.
1
So you continued to use a method that can cause panic in one of the most panic inducing ways? You donate 250 memberships to a 100 viewer streamer (let's also assume all 100 are eligible) so you knew going into it that 150 memberships would be refunded and you knew that their financials for that month would either show them -150 or at a minimum -50? Why did you use memberships specifically when superchats CAN'T create the same panic unless you chargeback?

Hey, as a guy that understands both Japanese and English, I feel like there is a large gap in communication that is occurring on both sides that makes it confusing so I'll try to shed some light on it The Japanese content creators are currently afraid of the fees associated with the *chargeback* that occurs after large amount of donation that happens, be it super chat or membership, not the refunds that occurred from the membership not being accepted (although there are some fearmongering and false info spreading around this part as well). Your gift membership incident just happened to align with a scary post about large sum of money getting chargebacks getting viral as an example of unknown source of large amount of donation. If you have no ill intent and have no plans to take that money back through chargebacks, I don't think you should worry.

If I had to shift the blame, I’d say the issue lies with YouTube’s (or rather, Google services in general) help pages — hard to read, hard to navigate (Only half joking😅). Personally, I’m often surprised by how many "users (meaning both creators and viewers)" don’t really understand the terms of service or how the system works.🤔
I apologize if my English translation on the site is incorrect. Even if you “meant it as a joke” or “it was just a prank,” it's still quite malicious. First, please reflect on your actions.

I apologize for criticizing you on social media because I misunderstood how YouTube's chargeback system works. That said, anyone would be surprised and confused by receiving hundreds of gifts from people they don't know. Instead of giving up completely, why not start with one or five gifts?
If you’re not involved in the community of the streamer I don’t understand the point of throwing out a large number of gifts especially for someone where their audience is so small gifts are likely not to be claimed. Why didn’t you send a high value superchat instead? the amount of financial support given would be the same and not cause this kind of stress.

May I ask you two questions? First, when did you start sending large amounts of gifts to many streamers? Second, regardless of whether the refund was actually processed or not, did you submit a request to cancel those gift sends to the platform? Finally, even if your actions were well-intentioned, sending massive amounts of gifts all at once is not beneficial for us. Sending too many gifts at once floods the stream's comment feed with notifications, disrupting the flow of conversation. While many major streamers might not mind too much, this can be devastating for smaller streamers. They work hard to keep their streams running smoothly and enjoyable for everyone by communicating closely with their listeners. So, I think some people might find such actions disruptive. If you want to see the streamer's happy reaction, sending a single red Super Chat is more than enough.

Gifts are always welcome on my channel! I think this is probably just panic.yougotthis
How about you stop Gifting membership then Specially to small vtuber how about bigger steamer instead since the smaller youtuber mostly get a hard time with you and no one wanting any gift membership from you

Slander and defamation are never acceptable toward anyone, and I'm sorry you're experiencing it. By the way, multiple Japanese streamers have confirmed that your account is sending large quantities of membership gifts and then canceling them. Even if it doesn't cause any disadvantage to the streamers, what is the reason for engaging in such disruptive behavior?

Lots of people don't know about the billing month things. I think that's why the rumors can be formed.
