just making a quick post for the people who still follow me here: I've been very active on bluesky, so if you miss my art I'd highly reccommend following me there!

Yes, I have Cara! I'm gonna be posting there for the time being (as well as youtube's community tab). Some of you have already found my account, but be sure to follow me over there!

Due to instagram's decision to use my posts to train ai without my permission, all of my posts here have been archived until further notice. If you're still interested in seeing my art, I will be using the community tab on my YouTube to do so. I will still use this account to post updates (as well as to share other platforms I decide to use instead of instagram). If instagram's policies on ai changes, I can see myself returning to the platform. I'm also considering reposting everything I had here with an anti-ai filter on it. Seeing as that would take an enormous amount of time, I'm still undecided. If you're able to take a leave from instagram, I would highly recommend doing so. When people have started to opt out of meta ai training, they remove the option to opt out entirely; this is clear proof they don't care about what their users want. So, until further notice, I will not be posting here. Hope to see you on my other platforms (youtube or otherwise; I will be sure to update you all). Cheers ❤️

If you haven't heard, Instagram will, by default, use your posts and information for AI training. After users have started to opt out, Instagram has changed both where you can go to opt out of AI training AND the ability to opt out at all. Instead, they have a section where you voice concerns regarding the AI, and talk about the leaking of personal information as though it's the only threat AI poses. From their wording to needing a character requirement in the form, I've made it super easy or anyone to fill out! . First, screenshot the first slide; the form requires an image to be uploaded. Be sure to crop it so just the image is visible! The next slide shows you how to access the form. After that, fill out the sections regarding your name and such, as well as upload the screenshot. For the remaining two sections, I've linked a google doc anyone can access in my bio (the first link on my linktree!) that you can copy and paste in the respective fields. Feel free to write you own though, or edit the text I gave as you please! . After that, it won't show you a screen confirming your request was sent successfully. My first one went through sucessfully (as I recieved a conformation email after a few moments), but I sent another after that also successfully went through. Both confirmation emails I recieved said "We don't automatically fulfill requests and we review them consistent with your local laws"; and seeing how laws have yet to catch up to this tech, I can only imagine this situation won't be handled well. It also was not made clear if anyone would be responding to my request, or if it will simply be disregarded because of the current laws. That said, it's very important that we as users protest this. I would HIGHLY recommend you fill out this form or yourself; AI images don't just impact artists, and AI images aren't the only harmful form of AI. While I agree AI can be incredibly useful, the way it is now and the direction it's headed poses a number of significant threats to EVERYONE. Feel free to share this post, as well as any othes you find useful! . . . #meta #metaai #instagram #instagramai #ai #aiart #aiimages #artist #illustration #art #digitalart
