Let's hope they conclude the series wrt "revenge", not drag it into another season.

There's a reason for using that name, if one actually takes the time to watch an episode before slating it. The show is referencing the original Matlock and this is key to the long arc of the series. Yes, some of the plot devices in each episode are a little silly, but I believe that is done intentionally to offset the more serious parts of the show. It is marketed as a family show, after all.

What I don't get, if you use the name of an old tv show from the 80s to draw in viewers, you should be aware that these viewers associate something with the name already. And those people that were watching in the 80s and 90s are much less likely to be receptive of a genderswapped main character. At this point, why not make a completely new show with a new name?
