Cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic also tastes great in this recipe.

Add ½ cup red wine for deeper flavor.

Also delicious served over rice, mashed potatoes, or with garlic bread.

This was really good. I could make the sauce all in one skillet and it wasn't at all difficult. I really liked the taste of this one and I didn't have to go buy more expensive steaks or beef cubes. This was a real winner for my family.

Not bad, easy to follow, high sodium from the canned soup. Keeping a good quality horseradish (not sauce) in your frig keeps you from having to buy the fresh root.

OK with tweaks
The recipe was tried as is. Was pretty good. Next time I’m going to try less Worcestershire sauce., probably half. Plus add an extra 1/2 of sour cream, and tsp of red pepper flakes. I like it spicy ♥️

This is a very easy and delicious recipe which I will make again and again! I HIGHLY recommend that you do not omit the horseradish as it really adds an awesome flavor to this dish!

A keeper!Worth the effortFamily favorite
Added a good red wine to the simmering skillet and it really upped the flavor. I cooked the mushrooms in fresh garlic and butter prior to adding to the meat & onion. Also added a bit more horseradish. This was a favorite recipe of my mothers from the 50’s, very much the same as hers, always a comfort food for me.

It's good, my husband devoured it. I used some cornstarch to thicken and a few splashes of soy sauce, because I was out of Wooster.

Really good. However, I over salted for my taste but my husband loved it. This was easy to follow. Will definitely make again.

Needs improvement
I've been making the Betty Crocker HS recipe since the 70's. I was concerned about the broth, and it being too watery. In addition, the water from the mushrooms made it worse. I gave the broth a try thinking it would add to the flavor. It didn't. I'll go back to the Betty Crocker recipe.
