2025-11-09 DeviantART is now forcing people to move from their mobile app to their web app???

I opened the deviantART app, and my homepage didn't have anything but the team's announcement, saying that they're abandoning the mobile app and encouraging users to use the web app. As someone who has the mobile app on its main phone, and the web app on their microG phone due to a "problem" on the mobile app, i guess the mobile app is way more comfortable than the web app. I once used it as a web app, and its UI was unsettling.

However, some people prefer the web app rather than the mobile app and with extensions like uBlock Origin so they won't be tracked by companies like WiX (the company that owns deviantART). According to Exodus reports, the mobile app has only one tracker; the Google CrashLytics one, used to automatically (?) report crashes.

For privacy reasons, using the web app might be good because uBlock Origin can block the trackers, and i've seen many people using the Reddit web app with uBO on :P
But for daily use? Nah, like i said, the web app's UI is unsettling. I'm gonna miss the mobile app :'v

One day i wanted to recover some files from my old laptop, but after i turned it on for like 15 seconds, it turned off itself and can't turn on. So yea, gotta consider my old PC dead.

That post made me go back to YouTube, because one concept of Boycotting is not giving money to a specific group, just like the post said. And i won't pay for premium. So yea, time to go back to YouTube with no worries at all since i'm not american nor british ;)

Today is the day when YouTube adds that stupid AI Age Verification that guesses your age by just checking your watch history. But, like i said, this is only for UK and US users.

Aaand frontends still work. I just tested Invidious at the moment.

UPDATE 1:37 PM: Even if I'm not american nor British, I'm gonna try to boycott YouTube because of such stuff they did of incorporating AI Age Verification.

I'm gonna have to use alternatives like BitView and Vanillo or even look at my own files :P

2025-06-29 Tapeybros (i had to make a name for my fans cuz why not)... My old pc... Is dead...

My old PC just died, it lasted 10 years. I really miss the stuff i've done there when i was a kitty... There's where everything started, there's where my tech interest started, there's where i started playing ROBLOX back in 2017 (yea, i played that game on that year, way before maxelbueno1234 (my current account) was created in 2018). Now (almost) everything is gone... 😿

UPDATE: It got fixed by itself :O

2025-06-25 Two things can't let me stay on a Custom ROM

Yesterday, I installed a custom rom to my Samsung Galaxy A10s, but had to go back to Stock ROM just because of two things: a bank app, and my favorite game.

My bank app, although i have USB debugging DISABLED, and my phone NOT rooted, can't let me access because it doesn't allow custom operating systems.

And about the game, in this case Progressbar95, i once tried it with microG, and it crashed in seconds because microG is a reimplementation of the Google Play Services and some apps might not work well with it (but in privacy and freedom terms, it's pretty good :3)

So yea, from now on, i will have a googled device (Samsung Galaxy A10s), a microG'd device (Samsung Galaxy A14), and a degoogled device (Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite).

Yesterday, since i mostly use apps that don't require (or require but somehow it works without) GMS, i uninstalled MicroG. But if i want to use an app that totally requires GMS, i'll install it so the app can work perfectly :3

Remember when i degoogled my Tablet? Well, i did the same thing with my Galaxy A14, then i installed MicroG, an open-source reimplementation of the Google Mobile Services (GMS). I don't think that's degoogling at all, or yes? :P

2025-04-17 - Old Firefox Installation

Yesterday, after booting Windows on my old dual-booted laptop, I realized I had an old Firefox installation since 2016. One month ago, I installed Firefox without even noticing I already have it installed lol. And after looking at some files, there were files that had Firefox set as its default program to open, and...

There it is... My old Firefox installation. The actual version there was 64.0 (2018), and my modern ass updated it to the latest version available. Lastly, I removed the new Firefox installation to maintain the old (and updated) one. Oh, and I installed Librewolf in there, on both Operating Systems (Linux Mint and Windows 10).

Yesterday i tried Librewolf and it's so cool. It's a Firefox fork focused on privacy. And now i'm used to it, i recommend it. Sadly it's not available on phones, this means i still use original Firefox on my phones (and Fennec, another Firefox fork, on my degoogled tablet)

Been playing some Baby Babsy games i used to play when i was a kid. I remember playing those games on my Windows 8.1 laptop in 2017, but in 2024, after upgrading to Windows 10, i had issues on starting those games. At least Minion Rush (unrelated) seems to work. Now, i played them on my Android phone.
