Younger millennial here, near the cut off. Married, been with my wife for years and years. We love each other this doesn't apply to us specifically. No kids (yet).

We joke all the time about what a nightmare it must be to date these days. Looks fucking terrible. When we were in college Tinder had just started taking off. We got together in college and neither of us ever had to use dating apps thankfully.

With older generations of married couples, many would stay together in loveless marriages "for the kids". You can debate about the trauma that would cause children all you want, but that isn't the point of this post.

It's no secret that many of our generation don't have children, and many of us don't even want them. As our generation continues to age (and assuming dating norms via online social interaction primarily stay the same), a lot of us who fall into those loveless marriages down the line (like some of our parents did) are going to look at how people "date" theset/those days and just say no thanks. You don't have to used dating apps in years (or ever) to see tons of evidence online that most people's experience with them outside of their college years is terrible. Unfortunately, it also seems to be the by far the most common way to meet people now.

There's very few people that use online dating that actually enjoy it..its just a necessity at this point for a lot of people. I can't imagine that changing anytime soon.

Why? He's not up for re-election this cycle so I reckon he's priming for a presidential run. After ten years in the house he was elected to the senate in 2022. By 2028 he'll have 16 years experience on the Hill. I think he thinks it's his time and his turn.

Evidence: Generative AI is simply too useful of a technology to pass up for most developers, either in art or code, and as time goes on it will only become better and more readily available. This doesn't mean that ther won't be human artists or developers, rather, generative AI will become an indispensable instrument through which humans channel their creativity.

Voice artists will only voice some lines provide nearly as much value as voicing thousands or millions. Artists will create concept art of a fantasy world and from that an AI will procedurally generate a huge world. It will be near-universal for coding. So I think generative AI use in games is inevitable, regardless of wether AI is a bubble like the Internet was in the 90s.

The label is also self-reported which adds the possibility that most developers will just start to ignore it en mass, or that the scope of "acceptable use of AI that does not require disclosure" will increase gradually with time.

When all games would have to require the label two things may happen:

-the label ceases to have any importance for players because it will be present on every game;

-the label will be completely ignored by developers, even when making strong use of AI, in a cycle where more and more AI use is tolerated by Steam without disclosure.

In either case, it will eventually become superfluous.

Note that this isn't a prediction that Steam will have no labelling system at all in place for AI, just that it will not be the current system based on self-disclosure of any AI use.

And the logic here is pretty simple imo. I’m not a sexist, in fact I’m a feminist dude (I believe in equality). But I look at it like this. Black men got the right to vote in 1870. It took a whole 50 more years for women to get the right to vote.

Obama was elected in 2008. Why the fuck would they think America would elect a woman 8 years later, in an especially tough race due to the radicalization towards traditional (see:racist and misogynistic) values driven by a black man ruling the country? Trump seems intent on the US eventually reducing its influence in Europe in order to focus resources and policy elsewhere. This is also probably a key bargaining chip trump (from his perspective) is using in his negotiations with Putin.

Date: Before the April 2026 Xi-Trump summit. I reckon Donald Trump would like to get this sorted out this week at the current negotiations, but if not he may consider this position in the future.

Evidence: people have been waiting a literal decade for this game, and there have been murders, suicides and deaths over a lot less.

Evidence: The whole epstein conspiracy theory stuff has escalated alongside the national/global situation for 10 years. evidence: It's pretty common to see memes with picture of houses on TV shows from 20-30 years ago that say something like "this is how an average loser lived in 1995" (EG The Simpsons, Home Alone) when in reality the average single family home has grown since then and the family lives in a large house for plot convenience.

Now, the most popular family sitcom of the 2010's I think is pretty handedly modern family, in which the 3 households are clearly very well off, living in large houses in the LA area no less. No one would point to that show today and say "this is how the average person lived in 2015."

All and all this is pretty ironic because unlike the 90's the size of the median single family home has actually dropped since 2015, not to say that modern family was indicative of average 2015 wealth, but the broader point would be true in this case.

Why hasn't the press reported on it yet? Two reasons:

1. The Steele dossier (also known as the Trump–Russia dossier.) For those who don't know it was opposition research on Trump. The press knew about the dossier for a long time before Buzzfeed reported on it. Other press outlets were not willing to do that because much of the information it contained was unverifiable or wrong. And that's a major similarity shared with the Epstein files. It's a huge document dump that's going to implicate dozens of people, yet much of the information will be wrong or can not be verified. It was a huge embarrassment for Buzzfeed in particular and the press in general.

2. The press is waiting for the government to make the first move. If (likely when) the documents are released it will be with significant redactions or certain documents won't be shared at all. This will be the opening the press needs. They can't report about an email describing the President having sex with a minor without verifying the information. They *can* report that there's a government cover-up.

Date: Jan 1, 2026. I think the press has all it's ducks in a row and it won't take long for them to publish if there are significant redactions or omissions when the files are 'released.'

Why can we be so certain the press has these files? The government leaks like a sieve. Even if the files weren't available to the Biden administration, the Trump admin is still run in large part by non-partisan bureaucrats, and even staunch Republicans, who would give documents over to the press because of their moral compass.

Trump and Johnson will conspire to Pocket veto this. Trump will let this sit on his desk, and then, on Dec 1, Johnson will adjourn Congress for Christmas. Trump will claim he can't sign the bill any more and he'll pocket veto the thing.

Before the date 11/19/26, we, or more accurately, the media, will forget about the Epstein files and not a single person named in them will be punished.

He also knows who killed Jeffrey Epstein. If it wasn't someone directly connected to him, he knows who it is. He also knows who killed or ordered the hit on Jamal Kashoogi. With the Saudis visiting the White House this week it's suddenly coming into play that all of this is connected and intertwined. Kashoogi was getting too close to the truth about what's really going on.

Date: When the democrats take back the House and the Senate, he's the first one who they absolutely *NEED* to bring in for questioning and they will get him to spill everything. He's too important to this administration. He knows a lot. He knows a lot of very powerful people, including Trump himself. He knows some things we don't.

Evidence: The White House has been on an AI kick posting all kinds of AI blunders like the possibly AI generated 3D model of the White House ballroom, the AI edited videos of Trump on the official White House YouTube channel, and the deepfake videos of Trump posted to his social media.

In addition, there’s a general lack of competency within this administration’s handling of things such as the Epstein jail footage release where there were contradictory statements made and an edited video was released.

I don’t have any evidence of the market downturn. It’s pure speculation based on the fact that this file release will be worldwide news. If it contains AI generated mistakes, that won’t be good for business.

As it stands, there is nothing that legally prevents Trump's DOJ from releasing the full and underacted files. DOJ may have a policy in place about not releasing files that a re a part of an ongoing investigation, but it would not by illegal for Trump to just order the DOJ to release them. But once this bill is signed into law however...

As pointed out to Speaker Johnson in a press event yesterday, the language of the bill is pretty clear - the DOJ is to immediately release the full set of files except those that are a part of an active investigation. This means that now, it WILL be illegal to release any files that are a part of an active investigation, per this very law. And since Trump ordered a new investigation into the case just the other day, Bondi can just claim that anything missing from the release is being withheld as a part of an active investigation, and cannot be released.

The investigation is targeting Dems of course, but that's besides the point. Even if anyone points out that there are obvious omissions regarding Trump or other Republicans, they'll reply with some version of, "While the investigation is centered around prominent Democrats, there are many other individuals that are relevant as informants, witnesses, and victims who are directly connected and will be withheld until all investigations are complete."

I'll also add that I don't know if this will be particularly effective at this point, since there's now enough momentum that violating what was universally understood to be the spirit of this bill would almost certainly prompt people who have been keeping quiet until now to start coming forward with the information that they've been sitting on until cleared to speak. This may include victims, FBI agents who were tasked with scrubbing files, court employees with access to evidentiary files and depositions, and even some lawmakers who got hoodwinked with this scheme along with us.

The claim that this bill prevents the full release will happen shortly after it officially becomes law, so probably in the coming days. The "investigations" into the Dems will conveniently last through the midterms a year from now, if Trump stays viable in the eyes of his handlers until then.

However, if they can make sure that Trump bears responsibility for 1) creating a "crisis" by managing to get the US into a full-scale war and 2) succeeds in classifying a vague movement like "antifa" as a "terrorist" organization to provide ongoing justification for arrests of any non-MAGA without due process, then they'll "conclude the investigation" and release the files damning Trump before then.

They will either slow walk the release so anything containing Trump can somehow be lost or not be scheduled to be released until it's posthumously, or find a way to redact him under made up pretenses, or documents will get lost in a fire, or *anything at all they can come up with* in order to protect or insulate him. Just watch.

Once the files are released and reviewed, it will be questioned whether the files are either complete and what files may be missing and/or scrubbed. A lot of people seem to be afraid that the Trump administration is going to release a version of the Epstein files that have the names of any Republicans redacted, or worse, they're going to release a doctored version of the files to use them as political ammunition against the Democrats. Luckily, we already know what will happen if they try this.

Evidence: Earlier this year, the Trump administration they claimed was an unedited surveillance tape from outside Epstein's prison cell, showing no one entered the cell before he was found dead. It took for reports to emerge showing the video had been edited in Adobe Premier Pro. They'd presumably had access to the video footage since Trump's first term. In all those years, it seems no one involved knew or cared about the fact that metadata exists.

Now, we're being told that in a matter of months, this same administration has perfectly doctored however many tens of thousands of documents, including (but not limited to) legal transcripts, bank records, flight logs, itemized evidence lists, and audio/video recordings? And not only have they figured out how to doctor all those items without leaving a trace, but they've made sure the files still make sense with all the removed info and the replacement info? And it's all gonna make sense when compared with the publicly available versions?

Nah. They're literally not competent enough.
