Dear Respected Brothers and Sisters,
السَّلاَمُ َعَلَيْكُمْ ُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
All praise is due to Almighty Allah SWT, who Has Blessed us with a home in this beautiful land of Japan, a nation known for its discipline, harmony, and profound respect for others. These are values that Islam itself cherishes and commands. It is out of love for our community and deep gratitude toward our Japanese neighbors that I share this sincere request.
My dear community members, we must honor the customs, culture, and way of life of Japan. This country has welcomed us with open hearts, and it is our duty before Allah to ensure that our presence reflects goodness, courtesy, and responsibility. Let our actions testify that Muslims are people who bring peace, not disturbance; order, not inconvenience; kindness, not heedlessness.
I urge everyone to be extremely mindful of our neighbors, especially those living and working near our mosque. Let us preserve a relationship of trust and mutual respect by keeping our surroundings clean, minimizing noise, and behaving with dignity at all times. This is not only good manners, it is an amanah (a sacred trust) placed upon us.
In addition, I strongly remind all worshippers to avoid causing any danger or obstruction in traffic. Parking illegally, blocking roads, or gathering without awareness can bring harm and discomfort to others. Islam teaches us that removing harm from people is an act of charity; therefore, we must ensure that our comings and goings never threaten public safety or disturb daily life. Let us follow the rules carefully, cooperating fully with local authorities and the community around us.
Brothers and Sisters, Japan values respect, harmony, and responsibility; and these truly are Islamic values. Let us show through our conduct that we are not only guests but trustworthy neighbors, contributors to society, and people who enrich the community with our good character. Let us lead by example, so that anyone who sees us says: These are people of integrity, gratitude, and peace.
May Allah grant us the wisdom to act with excellence, the strength to uphold our responsibilities, and the honor of being ambassadors of Islam in this beautiful land.
