Miami Seaquarium was a marine park located in Miami, Florida. They opened on September 24th, 1955, and closed on October 12th, 2025. The park is infamous for previously housing two captive southern resident killer whales, Tokitae and Hugo, in one of the smallest killer whale pools in the world. Following Hugo's death in March 1980, Tokitae lived alone separated from her species until her death on August 18th, 2023. Other than orcas, Miami Seaquarium housed bottlenose dolphins, Pacific white-sided dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins, and more during their operation.
