How do I backup my notes?
Bangle.io empowers you to manage your own backups. Since your notes are stored as regular files in a local folder, you can include them in your existing backup routines for important documents. For robust, version-controlled
backups, we recommend using
git.
Is there a desktop app?
Yes, Bangle.io can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a desktop-like experience. Visit app.bangle.io and look for an install option (often a button in your

Does Bangle.io work offline?
Yes, Bangle.io is designed to work offline. Once the app is loaded, you can continue using it without an internet connection. Installing it as a PWA can further enhance offline capabilities.
What is the browser requirement?
Bangle.io performs optimally in browsers that support the Native File System Access API, such as Chrome or Edge. This API allows Bangle.io to
directly access your local files for a seamless experience. If your browser doesn't support this API, or for an enhanced experience, we recommend installing Bangle.io as a PWA (see 'Is there a desktop app?' above).
