This sounds like a clear case of scrupulosity to me. Your post says so little despite being so long.

This is no different than people being scrupulous about reading protestant bibles, except massive chunks of the AOB are identical to prayer books that are already approved for use. You as a lay person have no obligation to pray any office, much less one that is officially approved. All that the AOB is, is a compilation of Sarum and Benedictine source with Matins and Evensong thrown in to boot.

I know plenty of Catholics who use the AOB. Are you actually having unhealthy thoughts? Are you simply afraid that they might manifest? It doesn’t seem like you are even sure yourself.

Ultimately only you can know and discern for yourself (with the help of spiritual guidance if necessary), but I would seek to tackle the root of the problem, which I doubt is praying from the AOB.
