KERFOOT Street will be closed for up to 10 weeks in phases starting from December 8.
Warrington Borough Council has announced the closure from Kerfoot Street's junction with Winwick Road to its junction with Folly Lane.
The closure will occur in phases, with the first starting on December 8 for two weeks, between 7pm and 6am, for the installation of a new electric main.
The second phase will begin on January 5, lasting eight weeks, also between 7pm and 6am, for resurfacing works as part of the BSIP.
The restrictions will be in place as and when signed on site, and access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
An alternative route will be available via Folly Lane, Bewsey Road, Tanners Lane, Winwick Street, Pinners Brow, Winwick Road, and vice versa.
The council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
