I think the problem is the amount of gods and religions that people worship, it makes it so it isn’t a choice between believing in god or not, it’s a choice between thousands of different gods, most of which will punish you for worshiping another god. people are overwhelmed by that and believe it’s better to choose none. or they try to believe but aren’t really capable of it since it contradicts with lots of other things. I’ve found room in my life for christianity though and feel better now
