Join V, the newest resident in a seemingly average New York apartment, and Beatrix, a transgender hacker girl who lives on the 4th floor, as they use "totally real" brain interface technology to jump into legally distinct video games, where hijinks ensue!
This Kickstarter was created so that we can fund continuing the story of It's Bunlith, The Witch Upstairs with a full six episode season! We have planned a host of worlds V and Beatrix will explore, characters they will meet both in and out of game, and stories that explore themes such as community, queerness, transition, and maintaining all of these aspects through the modern world.
Coming to you at the highest GB/s of any of her work to date (that's gothic bunnies per second, for those wondering), you know her, you love her, it's Bunlith!
Socially awkward, nervous, naïve, and trying his best. A recent NYC transplant searching for somewhere to start a new life and discover a sense of self. A plant hobbyist who never really played many video games. However, after meeting his new neighbor, it appears he will be diving headfirst into the hobby.
The mysterious tenant of apartment four: the titular witch upstairs. Beatrix spends her time locked away in her mess of cables and screens; searching through old games in which she becomes the floppy eared adventurer Bunlith. She works tirelessly in those digital worlds to unlock their corporate constraints, though if she happens to find some answers about herself, her struggles, and the world while she's in there? All the better.
Beatrix's malleable and mischievous cat may be leading you to the next quest, or... he just wants out again. I just let you back in! Okay, fine. Wait now you want out again!?!
We are aiming to keep our pledge levels simple! You will find short descriptions of them to the left and breakdown of each below. All pledge levels include the rewards of previous pledge levels as well.
All physical rewards will be charged shipping seperately after the campaign ends, this is to allow us to ship internationally.
This pledge level will get you exclusive access to the episodes a week before they launch online! You will also receive behind the scenes previews as we work on the show in the form of backers exclusive updates. When the Kickstarter ends we will also be emailing each backer a digital download of the pilot episode soundtrack and a digital copy of the show poster.
This pledge level includes all digital pledge level rewards as well as a physical copy of the show poster signed by Lilith and Phobia as well as a five sticker pack (designs will be previewed in a kickstarter update mid campaign!)
This pledge level will have you working with Phobia to create a piece of artwork featuring yourself or your character interacting with characters from the show! You will receive a physical print of the artwork along with the poster and sticker pack.
At this pledge level we will work with you to get you or your character into an episode of the show! We will create a 3d model of your character that will have an unvoiced cameo interacting with characters in a season one episode of the show.

Creative powerhouse and mortal enemy of at least one multinational conglomerate, Lilith's work speaks for itself. Riding high off the creation of two much-loved video games and several animated videos you were explicitly told not to watch, she's determined to bring even more low-poly hijinks to the masses. With the help of her lagomorphic mascot, she won't rest until every last model is brought under 2000 triangles.
A modern day Renaissance woman, Phobia is on a mission from Heck to express herself at least once in any art form you could possibly think of. She's an accomplished comic artist, a prolific doodle-monger, a talented musician, an unstoppable ad-lib vocalist, a sculptor of stone women, and most recently a mother to several low-poly critters. She's also an all-round ray of sunshine, though you won't hear it from her.
A composer who got her start covering popular video game tracks, Evelyn has since worked her way into the industry writing original tunes for video game titles including Vampire Survivors, Small Saga and Nightmare Kart. The Witch Upstairs is one of Evelyn’s first forays into Animation.
A voice actor, writer, and game developer, Sena Bryer's voice has been heard in many a title, ranging from Final Fantasy XIV to Hearthstone to Inu-Oh, and more! When not yelling into a microphone for monies, she can be found riding her Vespa, petting every dog she sees, or streaming old video games to the internet.
Kayleigh is a decorated Voice Actress, Worldbuilder, and and Illustrator from a cornfield in Illinois. She is best known for playing Yuta Okkotsu in the hit anime movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the Scarab in Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, as Kikunojo in the legendary One Piece, and as Testament in Guilty Gear Strive. She is a transgender woman known for her ability to portray a vast range of characters masculine, feminine and further, and loving every moment, in games, cartoons, and the TTRPG table!
Best known for his work in titles such as Lackadaisy, The Gaslight District, Horimiya, Crayola Scribble Scrubbies, The World's Divide, My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Daima to name a few, Belsheber Rusape is a voice actor known for his contagious energy and bountiful artistic passion, both in the creative industry and in social spaces. For almost a decade, Bel has been steadily climbing the industry, connecting with hundreds of artistic minds across the world, with Void from "The Witch Upstairs" being a striking new addition to his character portfolio.
"The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start."
Voice Actor for games and shows. You might have killed me. Back the project if you can, have a good one!
The Bunlith show started out as a small passion project, but we quickly realized that it was going to take more than our limited free time between commission work to give the show the attention and love it deserved. For us to be able to commit the time and effort necessary for this project to live up to its potential, we were going to need funding.
With that funding, we'll be able to bring larger life to the show in the form of talented voice actors, guest artists, and support staff- all things that wouldn't have been possible before. The most important part of that funding is that we can do all this without being tied to traditional funding sources that would limit our voice and the stories we want to show you. We want this show to be the most it can be, and with your help we can accomplish that!
The funding breakdown for this Kickstarter will be relatively simple. Like all funded projects a small portion will immediately go to taxes. Following that the smallest part of our budget will be shipping out the physical rewards.
After that all funds will go towards the creation of the show. We have already invested quite a bit of our personal funds in creation of the pilot episode and through doing that have been able to budget creation of season one. We want to make sure that everyone on the project with is paid well for their work and the amount we have budgeted for lets us do just that. We are looking at a years long production and a budget of this size will allow us to focus all our efforts on working on the show, currently we work on it in between commission work and other projects.
An additional note for clarification to make sure no one pledging has to wonder. This project will never use AI in any form during its production. From concept to completion and every piece of art, concept or otherwise, this is a human production.
Our biggest risks associated with the project will be the development time between each episode and coordination of talent on the project. We feel confident that after years of delivering games, animation, and art we will be capable of completing the first season with the set budget. We also have experience managing teams of people as well as coordinating their efforts on creative projects. We hope that delivering a completed pilot episode along with the launch of this Kickstarter will give backers the confidence that we can and will deliver the first season of It's Bunlith: The Witch Upstairs.
