Sending our aloha and well wishes to all this Thanksgiving! I’m grateful to God for everything 🙏🏽 I am thankful for the privilege of being home and spending a little time with our family and loved ones. Life is short. Any day could be our last. Make every day count.

In the midst of the busy work of every day, it’s essential to make time to care for our physical, mental and spiritual health. We had a great time bringing together our teammates at ODNI for a new annual Thanksgiving fun run (in the cold)! A little sweat, laughs, and a whole lot of gratitude for the blessings of life, liberty and freedom! What are your annual Thanksgiving traditions?

🚨 The Coast Guard celebrated a historic milestone as USCGC Stone offloaded 49,010 lbs of illicit narcotics in Port Everglades—worth over $362M, Wednesday.

This offload marks the most amount of cocaine seized by a single cutter in one patrol in Coast Guard history. ❄️

This record-breaking patrol included 15 interdictions in international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean in support of Operation Pacific Viper.

“This offload demonstrates our increased posture and continued success in the fight against narco-terrorism and transnational criminal organizations.” - Capt. Anne O’Connell, commanding officer, USCGC Stone.

I’ve been a soldier for over 22 years, and serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve. I’ve had the privilege of serving alongside countless great Americans, all of us willing to lay down our lives for the freedom we cherish and the country we love. The best way for us to honor our veterans, not just on Veterans Day but every day, is to make sure that our men and women in uniform are only sent into harms’ way as a last resort when all diplomatic measures have been exhausted, and actually take care of them and their families if and when they return home.

Sending my heartfelt wishes to everyone who is celebrating #Diwali! May the light of God’s love guide our path, remove the shadows of doubt, and inspire us to reflect His love in all that we do.

Growing up in and representing Hawaii in Congress for eight years gave me unique insight into the incredible work our U.S. Coast Guard does across the country and around the world. Thanks to @uscg Acting Commandant Admiral Lunday and your teammates for giving me an update on your unique and diverse mission set, and for your service!

As twenty hostages are reunited with their loved ones and the ceasefire is in effect, today marks a historic step forward for peace in the Middle East — all thanks to President Trump’s leadership, courage and commitment to peace and diplomacy. This shows that courageous leadership can change the course of history, and I pray it ushers in a new era of lasting peace. Thank you, President Trump.

Charlie lived his life as a warrior for truth and freedom.

Every day, stepping into the arena, armed with the Constitution.
sparring through debate on the battlefield of ideas, for the heart of our democratic republic and unalienable rights endowed on us by our Creator.

Charlie lived what our founders envisioned:
freedom means the right to speak,
even when we disagree.

I may not agree with what you say.

But I will defend —
with my very life —
your right to speak.

Free speech is the foundation of our democratic republic
without it, we will be lost
we must protect it at all cost

Charlie stood in the arena, armed with superior arguments, truth, reason.
propelled and motivated by love for God, love for others,
love for our country
His words were his weapons—

to defeat ignorance,
to cut through lies,

to awaken minds, inspire hearts, gain wisdom

Charlie spoke with a calm courage.

Not asking, “What will God do for me?”

Instead, saying: “God, use me for Your will.”
He showed respect and compassion, even for those who opposed him.
He wanted people to understand the truth.
For it is the truth that sets us free.
It is the truth that keeps us free.

Our schools are meant to teach,
to train students to think critically, debate ideas,

Test their strength in the clash of reason.
But too often, the system silences debate

Claiming “words are violence”
Dissenting voices are silenced
Those who speak of God,
speak of objective truth, like there are only two genders,
are told they have no voice.

He challenged those institutions, students, and faculty to speak honestly, debate openly, and think critically.
And he was winning.
It was because he was winning that the forces of darkness tried to silence him.

History shows this dark pattern:
when ideas cannot withstand scrutiny —
whether its the ideology of religious or political fanatics —
their defenders turn to intimidation, censorship, and violence.
They kill and terrorize their opponents and the truth into silence. (Continued in comments)

It was an honor to administer the Oath of Office to Wes Street as our incoming Director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center at @ODNIgov. With over 30 years of service in the U.S. counterintelligence community, including numerous deployments in support of combat ops, @NCSCStreet brings a wealth of experience to the fight against foreign intelligence threats. I have full confidence in Wes to integrate and oversee our nation’s operational and strategic counterintelligence to ensure national security is protected and the American people are safe, secure, and free. Congratulations to Wes and his family!

Our oath is clear: To support and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God.

238 years ago today, our nation’s founders adopted and signed our US Constitution. Our foundational principles enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights are rooted in our God-given freedoms, and it is up to us — we, the people — to defend our freedom and protect our liberty.  It was an honor to lead members of ODNI’s workforce today in renewing our oath of office.

Aloha, Charlie 🙏🏽
