ジオフロント環境に配慮した地下空間の創造・保全・維持管理
To create, conserve and maintain underground space considering Geofornt environment.
都市空間や地表の環境保全・有効利用のため、3次元的な視点から新しい空間として地下空間（ジオフロント）の利用が注目されています。環境に配慮した地下空 間の創造・保全・維持管理のために、地表から地下深部に至るまでの地盤・岩盤および地下水の特性（力学的、水理学的）を解明する研究とそれに伴う先端計測 技術の開発、こうした特性の不確実性や社会的要求・コストなどを考慮して地下空間をマネジメントするジオリスクマネジメント研究、さらには両者を組み合わ せ複雑な地盤・岩盤・地下水を総合的に取り扱う複雑系の問題について教育・研究をおこなっています。
It is now attracted a grate deal of attention to utilize underground space (Geofront) as the new space in order to preserve environment of geo-surface and urban surroundings and utilize them well. Considering environment and creating, conserving and maintaining underground space, we are educating students and researching on following themes:Research to explicate (dynamical and hydraulical) specific of soil, rock and water underground from the surface to deep underground and develop measurement technology for it.Geo risk management research to manage underground space considering specific uncertainty of soil and rock, social requirement and its cost.Research on complex problems combined above to solve complicated behavior of soil, rock and water.

令和6年能登半島地震で発生した，富山湾南部の海底地すべり堆積物調査のため，「おしょろ丸（北海道大学水産学部所有）」を使った調査航海に参加しました。北海道大学，金沢大学，神戸大学，京都大学の教員および学生が乗船しました。We participated in a research cruise aboard the Oshoro-Maru (owned by the Faculty of Fisheries, Hokkaido University) to investigate the submarine landslide deposits in the southern Toyama Bay caused by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. Faculty and students from Hokkaido University, Kanazawa University, Kobe University, and Kyoto University boarded the ship.
