I wish this subreddit was more about discussion and less about spotlighting people harassing the other side.
i wish this subreddit would speak about AI in general and not monstly/only about generative AI
I don't really think there's much to debate outside of that. If someone says they don't want life saving AI machines in hospitals, they're just a dick
So lets make it straight ai bros were saying first that Antis are just teens/kid but then that argument didnt sound that well so now they say that they groom teens/kids so how is it finally goddammit antis are kids or do they groom them?
Do they even know what grooming is at the first place beacuse if they do they accuse other side for literally manipulate kids to explicit them sexually without any proof and they way how they throw such a words without any hesitation just to dehumanize the other side beacuse they didnt like AI is just disgusting
if you don't believe in the harassment, then you are the part of the problem. it literally happens almost every time when someone is accused of using ai, whether they actually did it or not. you don't even need to search that much to see it.
and we are not saying that anti-ai people are the only bad ones, no, just the major part of them are like that, and you shouldn't be ignorant of those who do so and dismiss it like it never happens. i personally never saw a pro-ai person harassing someone into using ai, but i already at least saw around a dozen of people being harassed into not using ai, and i do not even spend that much time on the internet.
People with anti-AI opinions have definitely harassed people. But there's also plenty of people with such opinions that have not. This level of sheer hatred is absurd and dangerous. This is the LGBTQ groomer panic all over again.
The problem is just going to keep being the current state of anti-ai spaces, whether people want to hear it or not. They speak for anti-ai with the loudest voice whilst being blatantly responsible for every various pro-ai complaint. It's been a net negative for all reasonable portions of both sides. Merely having an anti-ai opinion gets you caught in the crossfire targeted towards the literal activity of these groups, being pro-ai gets you directly harassed by these groups but any attempt to point it out gets called strawmanning and is met with all kinds of mixed faith both-sides-ing that obfuscates the actual issue.
Antis are not LGBTQ or any other discriminated minority.
i do agree that the harassment shouldn’t happen, but the “grooming teens into the ideology” and “the next school shooter will be a furry fandom kid” parts are just wrong.
i agree with this, and if you wanted to make a post about this person going too far with arguments, then you should have pointed that out. just a little hint if you will make more posts, because the one you made sounds like you dismiss the issue overall.

Not really. Almost any regular on anti ai sub also browses teenage subs. They're either impressionable teens or groomers.

AI is the movement, AI is what is threatening the livelihoods of artists. Wanting artists who already have a hard time making money to be able to make a living is not a “movement,” it’s a fight we’ve been fighting for the last hundred years or so. Anti behave online as part of a purity cult, and these never end well. You can go to the anti subs and see them agreeing with each other that people who like AI aren't even humans. It also attracts mentally vulnerable children, as it can be seen right here in this very sub, almost daily.
Another cursory look at the anti subs will show people mentioning sh and suicidal ideation because AI.
How do you think that shit will end if not in blood?
