The chat can now be docked to the right side similar to Twitch and others. I know a few of you out there are strongly opinionated about this. 
Experimenting with procedural avatars to replace the old, boring default icons in the next update.

Preview of a few upcoming UI changes. When the chat is docked (now default), other panels will show up in the sidebar too. 
A few folks mentioned wanting more room for the chat after the past update. The Users and Next Up sections are now collapsible in v0.10.2
For any web developers reading this, 1366 x 768 is a common laptop resolution you should keep in mind when developing!

Everyone in a session syncs by loading videos in their own browser. Playback info like play/pause and video time are what gets networked. If a source like Netflix is loaded, everyone will need a subscription.
I'm curious, what are folks using for discussion while in Metastream? Combining tools like Discord or Zoom with Metastream counts.

I'm building Metastream as a way to watch together with higher quality streams and without the lag that can be experienced using VMs or screen share.
An added benefit is the ability to collaboratively queue up multiple videos.

The interface appearing above the video should hide after leaving the cursor idle for a bit. Also added an option for docking the chat.

Google Drive should work, but you need to interact with the page to start playback.

A good number of websites do automatically fullscreen the video. This site looks to be an exception. If you can report it, I'd appreciate it github.com/samuelmaddock/

Fair, the interface does need some work to make it more accessible. Everyone needing an account is really the only way something like this would be legal tho
Thanks. I'll hopefully have time to look into this over the next few weeks after shipping the next update. It should be possible to mitigate, but in some cases folks might be behind a couple seconds.
