Nationalizing farms is fine but you marginalize landowners way faster by changing franchise laws, strengthening capitalists as the wealthy class, or strengthening the pull of devout or armed forces so the aristocrats stop supporting the landowners

Oh yeah, that's why I played it when it was barebones. It was the game I wished existed as a kid - a 1st person medieval FPS about fighting battles (not just an RPG like TES). And even back then there were mods that made it worth playing over and over once you ran out of things to do.

Was planning on giving the galactic nemesis crisis a try for the first time but instead ended up forming another federation again since 2 of my biggest neighbours had the exact same governing ethics as me. Nabbed all the core planets from the Hegemony of Zummo and released them as my research subject so there's really no one around to threaten me anymore. I want to have a CoE 5 thread. Been playing it nonstop for the past 2 weeks and it's a lot of fun. Much simpler than the Dom series, but still has a lot of the variety and depth. What are you favourite classes? There are loads of great ones, so I can't decide which one I like the most. I ended up liking the Witch and Cloud Lord a bunch which I was surprised by.

Dominions already does this, but you should be able to move your units, as long as they are in the same rank, or at least choose which order they are added to the rank in, since sometimes units that I really wanted to be in the center end up being on the opposite corners, and having a gap in the center of your army could be useful if you want to use AOE spells on the first turn, and if you have units of different speeds.

Well, thanks to my genius level strategy, I managed to defeat both of them.
Death was easy; War was a pain in the butt.
Then I tried sending my army (pope, three cardinals and a shittons on templar paladins) against the mage college and got obliterated (too many mages). Hilariously, I still won the game that same turn when the AI tried to take over a tower defended by an archangel and his posse.

Yes. An wikipedia page has nothing to do with whether or not someone existed. Plenty of people recorded or referenced in contemporary documents and primary sources have no wikipedia pages simply because existing by itself doesn't warrant one.

Many samurai recorded in documents from the Warring States Era in Japan have no wikipedia pages, even if they are mentioned in someone else's page.
Lots of historical people, probably the vast majority, are known only because their names, with absolutely nothing else about them, show up in some document.

For starters, you can repair and upgrade gear, which singlehandedly unfucks the economy and doesn't make the helmet with 2 more protection cost 2000x more. You can repair looted low quality weapons and make solid cash on it. Upgrades of high-end items can end up being pricey but it's still a fracture compared to the full price. For me this gives it the edge over basically every other mod and I wonder why it's so uncommon.
Other than that, stamina system, good tournaments, good arena, sailing and boarding battles, much better party/prisoner system (the bigger your party the more prisoners you can take, prisoner management as a skill ceases to exist), very nicely done castles, the main quest is okay-ish, the usual "make your own faction" questline, many very distinct and good compaions, the whole map and items just look great and many, many more.
Once again, it's built on Viking Conquest, so stuff like the ability to read is important too.
Troop upgrade trees don't seem too unusual compared to vanilla but I'm not complaining about them.
