You mentioned that she applied for student loan forgiveness under the Biden Administration. Are you referring to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)? If she worked for non-profit organizations for 10 years, her federal loans qualify for forgiveness. Note: private loans do not qualify. In order to obtain forgiveness, she had to submit employer certification forms to establish that she worked at qualifying employers. You can find more information on PSLF on the studentaid.gov website. While there’s been a major backlog with processing applications, it should not have taken this long for her to obtain forgiveness. I’d suggest speaking with her federal student loan servicer (probably Mohela) as well as the contact listed on the studentaid.gov website to see where she is in the process. It’s possible she missed a step and that’s why it’s being held up.
Hopefully this helps as a starting off point. Best wishes to your daughter during this time. She’s very lucky to have parents like you.
Dude (or dudette), where in the hell did you get the idea that Americans hate flip flops? As a proud flip flop wearing American who has been around the US, I’ve seen flip flops almost everywhere and by no means do I often hear commentary about how much we hate flip flops. Not sure if you are basing this off anecdotal evidence or bullshit comments in other posts?
