Good afternoon everyone,

I'm a big fan of a particular boardgame company (Oink Games) and they will have event promos, as well as Pax exclusive games. They often sell games that are a pain in the butt to get regularly (at least in Canada).

I won't be going, obviously. Travelling all the way from British Columbia to Philadelphia is not the smartest way to get a few games.

Does anyone in Philadelphia or going to the events ship games for people, or a related service?

27 currently. Single yes, but opportunities do come and go.

Good humour overlap is important to me Not much of a drinker, so I don't far to bars often and never clubs. I love dancing (particularly swing) but good luck meeting anyone that'll do that.

Main thing, I think... is there's someone on the otherside of the country that I'm hung up on. We still talk everyday, and waiting for her to graduate soon to actually date and figure things out. 

I can't, in good conscience try to date anyone when I'm talking to this one woman, even if her and I aren't dating. 

It's an odd situation, I think I did have a bit of a glow up and built myself to be known and recognized in the area.

That's terrible! Weird advice on this game. I found a sealed copy just in a boardgame store in Northwest Canada. 

Honestly, just check random stores, cause you'll never know! I don't have anyone to play it with, but couldn't pass on the chance.

Hahaha! You know what, I'm doing something quite like you. She invited me to come with her to a wedding in the Maritimes, so I can try it out!

Honestly, why the hell not. Some of the best decisions in my life are the craziest! Doesn't matter much where you are, if it's with the right person.

I'm a labour/medical guy. Love doing hard work. I've lived all over the West and East Kootenays. Cranbrook is great at being a decently large central hub. It's near Alberta, the USA border, West Kootenays, and of course the East. About 4 hours from Calgary, 3 hours from Trail, 1.5 hours from Eureka (USA, a good package pickup place is there).

The West Kootenays are prettier, but smaller so you'd need to drive further to get anywhere you might only find in a bigger place.

The HD springs increase hitch capacity weight by 200lbs. Inside the car, it would be even higher. 

Lifting the car in general is great for clearance, and should theoretically reduce some road noise.

No more hitting nasty bumps and scraping.

I like to drive on roads to hiking destinations here in British Columbia, it's a must have in some locations.

Used to drive an AWD Chevy Equinox 2007, that had great clearance for it

Not yet hahaha, I have a provincial inspection for registration upcoming Monday. They're pretty strict, so I won't mess around at all until it is done!

In my mind, wouldn't a basket be better on fuel economy compared to a roof rack?

Hello everyone,

I will lay some basic information down about the situation:

  1. I live in BC. My insurance is through ICBC (my current car is a 2007 Chevy Equinox).

  2. The car I'm buying is QC registered. The current owner has the proper Registration and Bill of Sale for the vehicle. The information all lines up.

  3. The owners of the QC vehicle now live in New Mexico, USA. Because the vehicle would require a dashboard replacement to comply with USA, it is being sold.

  4. I will be flying down there, paying them, getting the paperwork signed, then driving up back into BC to get the provincial inspection and related done.

After all is said and done, what am I missing? I already can get the Bill of Sale and Registration. I really want to make sure I can bring it into Canada no problem. I live right by the border in BC.

Edit Thank you, everyone. So I read everyone's advice! On Wednesday I went across the US border and flew down to Texas to see things myself!

Personally, never been down further than an hour's drive into the USA. This was an amazing experience for me! The person I met and talked to, I learn a lot about life, and their own lives. The hospitality people gave me will be unforgettable. I appreciate each and every one of them, for the conversations had, and the way I was treated. Border guards were very confused, but after an hour of questions and inspections around midnight, I made it through.

Good afternoon, been having a rough week with what I thought was an easy purchase. ($19k Canadian)

I live in BC. Car is still registered in QC, but the registered owners recently moved to the USA. I found the owner's information and everything seems lined up, and we also have had a couple calls + a video call with the car.

It's his wife's car. He'll be driving up with it. He doesn't want to start driving up until they have the money. Originally, I started a Wire to his wife. My bank (Simplii) said not to do that, since it seems suspicious. Because of that, I cancelled it. Now I have a bank draft being made to the wife.

The husband won't drive up until the bank draft clears. Work is telling me that under no condition should I give the money until it is signed under my name.

Now I'm freaking out because he was supposed to be on his way tomorrow morning and I've got no bank draft even ready.

A friend of mine and I are Canadians learning French. Currently, we compete together on Duolingo. There we can compare scores with eachother which is motivating.

An issue that will come up, is that she is a free member. My account is new, but my app is modified so I should be good to go. I feel bad, she gets better scores than I do, but I can play as much as I want!

A lot of them don't know sh@t about healthcare here, and spend most of their time sleeping.

I work with some from Africa and India. Works 24hrs (not allowed), and punishment is being paid. Sleeps during most of the shift, or works second job on the phone, as well as phone calls helping others to move here.

I follow the rules, but that doesn't make sense when someone that ignores the rules made $30k more a year but their base pay is the same as mine.

Hello everyone,

I've owned my Forerunner 165 for ~1.5 years. No problems at all unless the last month.

Basically all syncing options don't work, nor does the app find the watch now. Only solution so far seems to be resetting the phone and deleting all the watch data. Unfortunately, that only lasts a week or so. It's a pain in the butt, and really getting annoying.

What can I do? Your help is appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to buy a Gen4 next month, but I want to nail down which trim I want. I remember seeing an organized Trim chart, but lost the link.

What I'm interested in:

  • Softex Seating #1 for sure

  • NOT large touchscreen

  • Dual Climate

  • Seated Steering Wheel

  • Heated Seats

My #1 is comfortable seats that are not cloth. I plan on changing the wheels myself, so I don't care if they are 15 or 17 inch. Do you think I can buy the large touchscreen, then "downgrade" the screen to one with buttons?

Any advice is appreciated.
