Let us stop pretending the Republican Party is anything other than a destructive force. The Republicans suck, and here is the reason why. Every time they enter office, they fuck up the economy on a consistent basis, and none of it is accidental. Their economic failures are directly tied to how they strip resources from the public and then make it even harder for the very people they harm to access basic social safety net benefits like unemployment or food stamps. They break the system, then punish the people who need help surviving the damage they caused.
Most recently, under Donald Trump, measles has been spreading so widely that even Republican senators and representatives are suddenly admitting it is a real problem and that vaccines save lives. They always change their tune only when their own mess becomes impossible to deny. This total reversal of their own narrative about vaccines causing autism shows they never cared about truth, because vaccines do not cause autism and never did.
Even Laura Loomer is now claiming that the Republican Party has a Nazi problem. These extremists did not appear out of nowhere. They were empowered by years of Republican rhetoric. Where has she been. Did she somehow miss the right wing men proudly marching with swastika flags, chanting Jews will not replace us, the tiki torch crowd walking through South Carolina as if it were perfectly normal. Donald Trump called those people very fine people, and that was not a fringe moment. That was the natural result of Republican politics. The party built this environment and encouraged it.
Republicans are finally waking up to the realization that their policies suck and have always sucked. They have given away billions, if not trillions, to millionaires, billionaires, and foreign countries that flatter them, all while leaving their own citizens to rot. This is why their influence keeps dragging the country backward instead of forward. The Republican Party is a systemic plague that needs to be removed from American politics once and for all.
