For those that wanted me to specify: I plan on taking Apollo to court and suing her for slander, and defamation. She has stated many false things about me- with no evidence to back these claims up.

How are you going to serve them with the lawsuit? How are you going to pay for the likely 2-300+ hours of work a typical defamation case takes? At just 400 an hour thats 80 to 120 grand in your own fees. How will you substantiate actual reputational damages?

You’re also forgetting the fact that slander and defamation cases have an incredibly high standard. Not only would she have to prove malice, she’d have to prove reputational and financial damage did occur.

Not forgetting! I am limited by word count. The standard for defamation actually depends on how renowned the target is with more well known folks requiring actual malice, while private individuals have a lower bar. I think there is some grey area re: which standard applies here
