How do I configure my display to use the 144 Hz setting? There are several requirements needed to run this monitor at 1920x1080 resolution at 144 Hz: Make sure your video card supports the 144Hz refresh rate. Set the resolution to 1920x1080 @144Hz . Set the monitor to 2D mode. Make sure you are using a Dual-link DVI cable, which supports 56-144 Hz (2D) and 56-120 Hz (3D). Make sure you are not using any switches, splitters, adapters, or converters. The DVI cable must be connected directly between the PC and the monitor.

This article only applies to: Aspire A515-44, A515-45 and A515-46 models The Aspire 5 series includes a storage bay that allows for installation of a secondary 2.5" hard drive or solid state drive. Use the steps below to install a secondary drive in your system. Note : Acer recommends wearing an anti-static wrist strap when adding hardware to your system. 1) Remove the AC adapter and make sure your system is completely powered off. 2) Use a screwdriver to remove the 11 screws from the lower case. 3) Carefully pry up the base cover with a pry tool to release the latches. Start from the bottom side, then continue releasing the remaining latches on the left and right sides. 4) Grasp and remove the base cover from the system and locate the hard drive compartment. Note: The battery is secured with the lower case. Do not turn over the system with the lower case removed. 5) Disconnect the USB board cable (A). 6) Slide the hard drive module (D) into the bracket. Important : When placing the HDD module in the bracket, make sure the marked arrow (G) is facing the correct direction as shown in the image above. 7) Secure the hard drive to the bracket with four (4) screws (F). 8) Connect the hard drive cable to the hard drive module connector (E). 9) Place the assembled hard drive module (D) in its compartment. Make sure the guide pins (H) and hard drive bracket screw holes are properly aligned. 10) Secure the hard drive bracket with four screws (C), then connect the hard drive cable (B) and the USB board cable (A) to the mainboard and close the latches. 11) Put the lower case back into place and secure it with the 11 screws you removed in step 2.

I am using a DVI full link to HDMI cable to connect GN246HL monitor to computer. When I set my resolution to 144 Hz, the monitor successfully displays increased fps, but there is a message box that appears over my screen that says my cable is incorrect: "Incorrect cable. Please use the dual link DVI cable that came with your monitor." I cannot use that cable as my graphics card has only HDMI input. How do I get rid of this message?

I just purchased this monitor. I don't see a driver that support win 10. My driver is coming up as a generic monitor. It says that's the best driver and won't change. Curtis

Hi im using a Acer Gn246hl 144hz monitor connected with a dvi link dual link and yet when i go into my display settings it only gives me the option for 60hz. So i read the users manual and i think that i have to switch 3d mode to 2d mode to get 144hz if thats right can someone tell me how to switch from 3d to 2d to get 144hz it would mean alot to me. BTW i do not have a graphics card yet; im using an APU "AMD Ryzen 3 2200g" and i have a "Asus Prime B450M A" motherbaord
I have tried to look into the monitor, I have noticed that the monitor comes with 2 pairs of 3D glasses. Is the monitor NVIDIA 3D Vision, NVIDIA 3D Vison 2 or something different? Also, do the 3D glasses need a 3D IR Emitter, if so is it built in, does it come with one or do I need to purchase one separately? Thanks.

I recently purchased this monitor for my new gaming rig and I noticed there is no DisplayPort. My graphics card is the rtx 2060 and it does not have a dvi port(just hdmi and dp). I have read that this monitor does not support adapters or converters so will I be able to use 144htz?
What I've tried: uninstalling every trace of drivers (registry etc) and reinstalling. Updating the driver manually with the Acer driver download. Cable I'm using: Dvi-D Dual link that came with the monitor. GPU: Amd r7 250 1gb ddr5 diamond boost (supports dual link DVI-D, HDMI and VGA). Can push over 200 frames on the game I want to use it for. Problem: Can't get over 60 hz I only have options of 59 and 60. However on 1280 x 720 it will go to 130 hz max anything over out of signal. It will only reach over 60 hz through AMD catalyst custom resolution but on two low resolutions and on the catalyst page it says maximum reported refresh rate 75 before I touch custom resolutions. I can also go to 130 hz on 1024 x 768 but will say incorrect cable use the one that came with your monitor. If I change it to 144 it will go out of signal. I've bought the monitor from Bestbuy and thought the issue was a defective cable/or monitor so I returned it. I bought a new one from Amazon and turns out I still have the same issue. Does my graphic card not support it even though it supports DVI-D Dual link and can push the frames? I've seen other people use 144 hz with my exact graphic card or with even worse gpus. So I was guessing it's not that. Was I just unlucky to get a defective cable twice? should I order a new one. Any ideas? or suggestions.

hi need some help with my sons monitor. He is trying to get 144hz with a Nvidia 2070 gpu. he only has the option of hdmi on the gn246hl monitor and the 2070 graphics card, so I think it could be the cable that is preventing him getting 144hz that he requires. Any advice please, other options, cable recommendations etc many thanks for any help

Hello! I've bought GN246HL from amazon.de. It doesn't want to tilt forward or backwards. It's fixed in place. Any solutions? Is anything tightened up too much? Also? Should I be getting glasses with the purchase, because I didn't get a pair.
