I’ve seen this new form that Reimu has a few times now and I don’t know whether it’s official or if it’s a fan creation.

It's official, and i personally can't say i like the idea of having dragonball type power up in touhou, cause normally powers in touhou are convoluted as hell instead of being just change form and now be more strong.

Reimu also has insanely broken powers that especially shine when she’s either in danger or when she isn’t actively trying to win/do anything. If anything, Marisa would 100% dabble in getting cool power ups as long as they’re colorful enough

To be fair, i haven't read foul detective, from what I understand, it does seem like this a one time thing, maybe the spirits can help Reimu like that whenever, but it could be it's not specific to Reimu or something like that.
