>coded
It's nuts that people got psyopped into using that gay-ass terminology when it was furmerly only used by tumblrites who obsessively called everything they liked "queercoded" or "transcoded" because they found some flimsy excuse to tie some random bit of media to their own identities. It's like everyone has regressed into interpreting media as some sort of word association game: they view symbols not as having any kind of inherent meaning or pointing to something higher, but as nothing more than calling cards fur specific groups or codewords fur random bullshit. These people think like low-functioning conspiracyfags who think every eye of providence they find in art and architecture is a symbol of direct Illuminati involvement with no greater meaning. Nevermind that it was a popular religious symbol fur hundreds of years prior: if some old church somewhere has an eye of providence, it's "illuminati-coded."

Truke doe. Tumblrites and adjacent groups are absolutely obsessed with fictional characters on an extremely personal level. Why do you think they constantly go "X would agree with my beliefs!". They need to project everything onto any character no matter how insane it is. A character has a remotely close relationship with someone of the same gender? Queercoded. A character has a hobby? Autismcoded. A character has a single trait that isn't typical of their gender? Transcoded. Even like the furanon mentioning "Asian coded", the people are obsessed with non-human characters being a specific human race because they view everything through the lens of gay brownoidism.

Why add the coding bullshit at all? Just ask if she's asian like a normal person would, and you'll attract useful answers.
>>71799
It really bit trannies in the ass with the recent Peripeteia drama. They assumed the game was transcoded and queercoded because it was a cyberpunk game with anime girls and electronic music, and because of this they completely missed the mountain of evidence that it was something very different. Then they saw screencaps of the dev talking about how much he hated groomers and normalfag memes, assumed this was a transcoded reference to themselves (a horrendous self-own), and went berserk. They're still utterly confused at how a chud managed to make such a transcoded game when...he didn't. It was just raw self-projection onto his work, word association games, and complete and utter obliviousness to anything outside this.
These people suck at deciphering actual encoded references too. It's been over two years since a certain anthro game has been released and sold well, and the people who pride themselves on their media literacy and ability to hear dogwhistles still haven't realized that most of it is a bunch of very obvious jokes about muslim immigration and jews. All it had to do to break their word association game was use anthros instead of people and not use any no-no words, and suddenly they didn't recognize the same ideas they'd spent years trying to ruin peoples' lives over. It's crazy. It's almost like they can't actually read and are stuck playing a weird game in their head where they skim the world fur isolated words and images they recognize, check fur pre-programmed emotional reactions, and use these to suss out ideologies and identities.

The biggest practical difference between asking if someone is <x> or if they are <x>coded is that the latter is ambigious in a way that makes it suffer hard from confirmation bias.
If somone really wants a character he likes to be a buttpirate, the answer to him asking if the character is gay and giving an isolated trait or two could be an obvious "no," as these characteristics have to add up to something convincing and not be overruled by conflicting evidence. But if he asks if the character is gaycoded, he can mention the same traits as above, say that some homosexuals also have these traits (even though they may be common or even universal), and affirm to himself that thus the character is gaycoded. If you tell him he has a lack of evidence or give evidence to the contrary, he can say the character is still coded this way and hide his weak position inside the ambiguity of whatever that term means fur him. He isn't actually interested in any kind of world outside him, but only in imposing his desires onto everyone else.
